Rand Paul is not a segregationists, he is against segregation, it is government interference into private enterprise that he is against and there is a difference. He said he would have voted for integration but would not have liked the part about the government telling private business how to conduct their business. For the record I do not like Ron Paul and don't know Rand Paul I saw the interview.

Semantics - if you saw the interview than you heard him say that businesses have the right to refuse to serve or hire individuals based upon race or any other factor. . . and that the Civil Rights Act of 1964 applies only to government business and those businesses servicing the government. ALL a bunch of lies and he knows it!

The CRA of 1964 was based upon a case wherein an individual was refused service at a private business based upon their race. It was written to eliminate discriminatory practices period, and not just in government.

Now, you can dress it up anyway you like to, but a duck is still a duck and this one's quacking long and hard!

Never heard of him....

and I can assure you he is NOT a "leader" of those who attend the tea parties.....

i think what we have hear is a loud mouth that the libs are claiming to be a "tea party" leader....

the left is desperate to do whatever they can to destroy this movement...but it is more than just a "movement' it is REAL people f'ing pissed at gov spending and social driven agenda's...that are going to change the tone in washington....

the people that count in this are not following any "leader" they are not "following" those who want to continue this "spend, spend, spend attitude that the left is demonstrating...

the bottom line is REAL people of this Country are tired and don't like what is currently going on...and the truth IS going to be revealed at the polls....if I am wrong, then you can go "nay, nay, nay, nay nay, nay".....but If I am right, then I will simply say, "you lost; get over it"....

One thing is for sure, this country has NEVER been more divided than it right now...(in my life time anyway)...

It is kind of scarey WHERE this is going to end up.....

I know I am not willing to back down from my stance on these times.....I am as fired up for a change as I ever have...and most people I know, are feeling the same way....

Umm. . .yeah, he is. He's been a featured speaker at a large number of these "parties" and has shared the stage with the likes of Sarah Palin, ET AL at many of them. He has spewed the same tripe filled message of hate and malice since the tea party started, and continues to do so.

I'll tell you what is scary, the fact so many of you have become so desperate for validation that you blindly follow closet Nazi's and nitwits; then when they are exposed for what they are you feign ignorance and try to distance yourself from the individual. Personally I find it no surprise to see so many bigots and racial separatists amongst you. They feed on hate and desperation and there is plenty of that to go around in those little parties you idiots are throwing.

He said segregation is wrong but government should not be able to interferer into private business.  He said it is wrong but still should not be up to the government to dictate such things.  He did not say that private business has a right to refuse service or heir based upon race or any other factor.  He may well be just as much of an idiot as his dad appears to be but I know what I heard.

Watch it for yourself. Watch him dance around the question, DIRECT questions, and then in the end re-state his opinion that the CRA of 1964 applies only to government.

What I would like to know who is powerful enough to tell these Redneck Racist bastards to keep them from being segregationist.  It the government.

We have segregation now, it called money.  That private golf club where Rand Paul gave his victory speech is segregated with money.  I heard on one club where is cost $150,000 to join it.  Never heard how much a month they wanted to keep you membership up.

Money now is the segregationist tool.  Just go down to Gulf Shores Alabama and go to Ono island.  $350,000 and up for a lot and 2 to 5 million dollar homes.  You don't get on the island unless you have permission from the owner of the home.  They got three cops to back it up at the guard shack.  Rand Paul is Ron's baby boy who was born with a golden spoon in his mouth and he an elitist above all.  These poor ass Kentuckians sure want him to support them.  Yeah?

He seems to think he is.

Paul, 47, credited tea party activists with powering him to victory on Tuesday.

He also thinks the government is wrong to hold BP accountable for the oil slick, and that coal mine owners should not be held liable for the deaths of miners who are killed on the job.

IMO he is having words put into his mouth and the right is making mountains out of molehills.  At no time does he say he approves of racism or segregation nor does he say he disagrees with the civil rights bill.  He only disagrees with the government getting into private business period.  I am sooo tired of things being twisted into a knot I could puke and both sides do it but the right is taking that racism thing over the top.  He would have voted on the bill he would have marched with King he thinks racism is abhorrent so how can you say he's a racist and wants segregation?  You are being told to think that and shazam that's what you think.  You are being told if anyone disagrees with this administrations policies they are racists and obstructionists and shazam you believe it.  Black people are being told they are a disgrace to their race if they disagree with the current administration. What is that all about?  Something is just not right and if you'll stop and look around you might just wake up to that fact.

Huh. . . more quacking. . .go figure!

The guy is asked a direct question that requires a simple yes or no answer, and he spews a lot of historical flotsam intended to divert your attention from the fact he's clearly saying private owners should have the right to discriminate. There's no other way to possibly interpret that statement!

Rand Paul is talking out of both sides of his mouth, and even his statement is contradictory of itself. The CRA of 1964 was about one thing; discrimination. Across the board; private, government, semi-private, NO ONE has the right to discriminate.

Paul says on one hand he is against discrimination, BUT then he says he would change the 1964 CRA to eliminate its oversight of private enterprise. To what end? So they can be free to discriminate of course! He has said it over and over in the clip I posted and you see that as harmless?

No friggin wonder this country is in the state its in.

And you can say whatever you want to about me supposedly not calling it the same way lady, I don't care. I call out racists whenever I see them and from whomever it emits, and partisan lines do not exist when it comes to that. I don't give a rats ass if they are republican, democrats, or purple jeebus freaks; a racist is a racist and there is zero tolerance for that bullshit in this house. ZERO.

There is no accounting for the stupidity that is running rampant in this country, and Rand Paul is a perfect example of what happens when stupid people are blinded by political rancor. His own political party will not support his ass, but god damn the sheeple filled tea party will!

Tell me just when you ever heard a democrat he or she say their were against the antidiscrimination Law.  Tell me when you ever heard most true democrats say their were health care for the people of America.

Rand is a rotten spoiled copy of his father.  Just wait this boy is going to step on his d**k4k and say something stupid again.  This is what the poor people in Kentucky really need, more especially the coal miners.  Good luck Kentucky

Show me where he say's he would change the CRA.  He said he was against the government getting into private business, yes, but he did not say "I would change the CRA".  You are making it what is convenient to support what you are being told he meant.  I am reading it as a non supporter of his so don't even go where I know you are gonna try to go with it.  I probably would not have voted for him had I lived in Ky because of his dad but that is neither here nor there.  I am seeing someone raked over the coals for something that wasn't said or intended but rather for being a whipping post with which to beat the Tea Party movement.  He thanked the Tea Party for his being elected but did they support him or did he get elected because the people in Ky are fed up with both the Dems and the Republicans? He is a Libertarian remember.
