Don't even go there dude just don't even go there.  What I know is fact because I know the people who were involved.  One drank his lunch, went back to work drunk, wrecked a fork lift and cut off 4 fingers and was fired for drinking on the job, which was against the rules, and the union made them hire him back and give him the wages he lost while he was off.  The guy bragged about it and thought it was his right to drink and operate a fork lift if he chose to do so.  What if he had killed someone?  Oh, and the insurance had to pay his medical bills plus he drew workman's comp.

Oh just for the record I'm not disputing your word it's just that a lot of these claims were found to be baseless and were in fact brought about by union plants who picked it out of thin air to try to get a union in.  Yes, Wal Mart has changed some of their policy's but the one lady I know who works there has worked for them since they opened.  Meijer has also gone through the same thing it just didn't get as much publicity.  Sears on the other hand got/gets no publicity and, especially since the K-Mart buyout and take over, have really started treating their employee's like crap.  My daughter worked there at the time and my granddaughter's husband works there now.

I only know what I've been told by people I know who worked/work there and were not mistreated or had to work under the circumstances stated in the articles and they told me what the rules in their stores said about working off the clock, it isn't allowed, they can't even assist customers if they're on break.

  Have you ever been in a union/company disciplinary action?  No.  Well, I have.  I had one forman who decided he didn't like me and he was going to fire me.  Well, the dumbass lied,  fired me.  During the disciplinary action, the union and I proved he was lying.  Guess what.  I wasn't fired and about two years later,  the bastard died of a heart attack.  How sweet it is and that happened 31 years ago and I can remember it, just like it happened yesterday.

  In a company/union disciplinary action it is just like a court.  The union is just like a lawyer who's on retainer for your monthly dues.  The company has to  prove that you did was a fire-able offense and you prove that you didn't.  The company has to prove that what their member of management said  was true.

  Not like the Big Box Stores like Walmart, Lowes, Sears and so on.  Where a member of management, the dumbass, slave driving sonuvabitch can fire you, just because he or she did get any or they just didn't like you face that day. It is just like a court and the information you have been giving me wouldn't stand up because it's HEARSAY.  NOTHING.

  If you remember just one thing , the unions are what made the asshole companies pay and treat their employees with, the higher wages and the better working conditions.  Your asshole Republicans with their freetrading outsourcing and the their laws have reduced the unions in this country.  You can see it every, lower pay, worse working conditions and more mistreatment of their employees.

IF THE CORPORATIONS AND BUSINESS HAD TREATED AND PAYED THEIR EMPLOYEES RIGHT, THERE WOULD NO UNIONS IN THE FIRST PLACE.  SOMEBODY SAY, AMEN!!!!!
