Just a 'curiosity' question......

Why would anyone want to put all their social security into the stock market?  The stocks are a risky financial endeavor.  They could bottom out at any moment and all your investment is lost.  Granted, the way that social security is run there is the chance that some of us, our children or our grandchildren may pay into it and never receive any benefit when we reach SS age, but I would take the current way of managing it over a private account that could go bust without warning.  And no, I certainly don't like the government dipping into those funds and using them for anything other than what we have always understood the intention to be.
Looks like I've come full circle.

I don't believe it was to be tied to the stock market like the 401k's.  I also don't think it was a mandatory thing but a choice.

  Well, Republicans I have waited several days for answers.  Guess what, no answers, no name of bills in congress.  No amount of tax money they got back, just the answer "The "Troll should know."  Well, I don't know what bills the Republican have passed for the good of the working people.

well for starters, the Bush tax cuts WAS for the good of the working people....they were:

•A reduction of individual income tax rates from 15, 28, 31, 36, and 39.6 percent to 10, 15, 25, 28, 33, and 35 percent;
•An increase in the child tax credit from $500 to $1,000;
•A phased-in reduction in estate taxes, and a one-year repeal in 2010;
•A big expansion of tax-favored retirement savings plans.

these all expire in 2011, lets see how this effects the working people when they go back to the way they were.....

I guess it was tied to stocks but only diversified, approved mutual funds and not in single stocks or highly volatile stocks.

Dear Mr. Me.  I really like your moniker, "ME".  It has been like this for all of your life, it has been Me, Me, Me, Mine, Mine, Mine and AAA, AAA, AAA.  IT'S MY MONEY AND I WANT IT NOW.  You said I called you names.   I did not call you stupid, I asked you a question.  I asked, are you stupid, you didn't answer my question.  Braindead,  well maybe I went a little overboard.  Let's put it this way, your brain was invaded with a virus, over loaded and it crashed from all of the B.S. information you got from Fox News, O'reilly, Hannity, Glen Beck, Sara Palin and all of your lying Republican leaders.  You said I cussed, Hell, god,  In the modern adult world and in an unmoderated forum, hell, god are baddie, no, no words.  Question: What planet are you from.  Now "ME", you can B.S. me, but I won't let you lie to me with your perverted recall of political history.  You're talking to a old  man who lived, served his time in the U.S. Army, worked and raised a family through all of the presidents.  Roosevelt through Obama.  You say you have not had health insurance since Clinton raised your health insurance,  You sure have been lucky, healthwise.  Question, How did Bill Clinton the best president you Republicans ever had raise your health insurance.  Obama and the Democrats want  you and the other people like you, who have no health insurance to be able to get health care. Question: Are you stupid?   As for Oprah, her income for the year of 2006 to 2007 was $260 million.  She also owns a store in California, I don't think she sold her house there because she couldn't afford the property tax with an income of $260 million.

FACT,  There is no federal malpractice lawsuit law.  Prove it.  You say it's the trial lawyers fault. The cost of medical malpractice lawsuits and defensive medical care is less than 10% of the total cost of medical care.  IT'S A RED HERRING.  What about the CEO of America's largest healthcare insurance company who put into his own pocket $600 million in salary and bonus in 6 years.  Plus the company made the largest profit in the history of the company.  Oh, I forgot "you guys" are for making profits no matter who it hurts, it's the American Republican way.  The Troll (In no way connected to Dick Cheney and his family)   ;D  :)   :yes:

Finally got some answers of good Republican laws.  Tax cuts,  that didn't amount to chicken feed, just some sugar to sprinkle on the B.S. they have been feeding you.  Give me some more laws, give me some Republican laws passed for the Super-rich predatory capitalist.

If I worked for money it is mine to put it bluntly.  It is not yours or the governments to do with as they please nor is it up to them to tell me how to spend it.  If you work for money it is yours and not mine.  Insurance, even though it is legalized extortion, is a private enterprise and therefore none of the governments business or ours for that matter how much they pay their employees or agents.  Since you have no idea what the job entails how can you say they don't deserve every penny they make?

No, I am not stupid I just don't think that someone who happens to make more money than I do owes me any of it just to make things equal between us.  Why even bother to try to better yourself if you know you're going to have to pay someone else's way and if you just remain as you are someone else will pay your way?  Don't you realize pretty soon there will be no one left to take from because they will be tapped out or just give up trying?

Now read what I said here:
Quote from: me on March 07, 2010, 08:04:58 PM
Now take away all the non essential parts out of this conversation and what it comes down to is simply the increase in insurance premiums are the result of what they have been having to pay out due to claims and the increase in costs of medicine and doctor visits plus the increased testing having to be done due to doctors not wanting to be sued due over a misdiagnosis.  Also the chances of your family doctor sending you to a specialist is greater now just to be on the safe side.  Those aren't all bad things but are a contributing factor in the high cost of insurance.  Bottom line, insurance companies pay out more so they charge more just like any other business.

anything YOU have to support that comment?

to me, it is just common sense, that frivolous lawsuits DRIVE up the the cost for insurances....Doctors are forced to order prescriptions and have unnecessary lab work and test run, to simply "cover" their ass....doctors have to carry a large liability insurance, which in return, they pass this cost to us....

also, we need to put an end to ambulance chasers, who are making a SWEET living off of forcing Insuance Companies into "settling" out of court for frivolous incidents....have you seen some of the obnoxious commercials on late at night of scum-bucket lawyers....

common sense is no longer a practice in washington anymore....

Mr. Me,  You say, If you earn the money, it is all yours.  Well, here's a question, if the government came to you and said, Mr. ME, we will not charge you for any taxes, fees(a form of tax) of any kind if of hidden taxes of any kind, if you will.  1.  Not use anything built by or paid for by the tax payers.  2.  Your customers can't use anything built or payed for by the tax payers to get to your business.  3.  When you get old, or sick, or disabled and have no food, you will not used any agents of healthcare services or charities that is payed for by the tax payers.  Question is Mr. Me.  Would you take the government up on their offer.  This is one question I would really like to hear you answer.  The Troll?  ;) :'(    The Troll

Mr. Me and Mr. Henry Hawk.  First about the tax laws the Republican passed.  1.  My tax rate in 15% it hasn't change one bit.  No tax breaks for the 15 percenters.  The 28% braced has a 3% reduction and the rich ones 39.6% got a 4.6% tax reduction.  Look who the Republican take care of first.  2.  $500 savings for each kid.  Great for people with kids.  Me and my wife raised my son and we are still paying school tax for someone else's kids.  I doesn't do a damn of the rest of the people like us.  3.  Estate tax cuts, like I would give a damn since I'm dead.  WOW. more place to save your money, if you got any making minimun wage.  Plus you still have to pay tax when you take it out.  My god, how you have bless me.

  Yes, the total cost of medical malpractice lawsuits and defensive medical practice is less than 10% total.  I asked you to prove me wrong and all I get is "can you prove that"  Hey man you got a computer,  goggle in the cost of medical malpractice lawsuits.  See what your blind eyes won't see.

  No I have not see any of Mr. Moore's movies.  I sure heard you Republicans cry and bitch about him,  Waaa, Waaa, Waaa.  Question: Do you guys, get every morning emails of the Republican talking points.  I have never talked to two guys that have so little knowledge about history and politics and you want me to think you are smart.  NOT.  The Troll.  :yes: :yes: :yes:

You really need to get a life dude.  You said in an earlier post you owned a plumbing business which means if you're in the tax bracket where you pay 15% you're doing a hell of a lot of creative bookwork when it comes tax time or your not a very good plumber.
