You need to get a good appraiser to tell you what your house is worth.  Ask him about the repairs you want to make and if their worth the work and money.  I think you might be suprised what your house is worth.  It will probably scare you.

And don't do what some of my fellow workers did, they sold their paid off houses and bought a new one with house payments and then they got sick and the payments were to much.  Think about it.

We have already had it appraised and discussed things with a Realtor, so I know where I am heading with limited upgrades.  I'm not dumping a lot of money in it, mainly a lot of my time, but I work slow when it comes to home repair.

Selling and moving is going/needs to happen, so continuing house payments are in my future.  But I'm not buying the Taj-Mahal either.  Taking advantage of low interest rated to keep payments low.

Motherf*****!!!!  I think I have a kidney stone.  I go to the Doctor later this morning to see what is going on, and what we can do about it.  Been hurting since Wednesday afternoon, and it has not let up one bit.  Yes, I'm getting cranky.

Let a old man give you a hint on how to get medical help.  I had two doctors tell me this.  Go to emergency and tell you are in pain to the point of passing out and swoon a little bit.  If it hurting make your mind think it killing you and put on an act.  You will get help.  Kidney stones are like a leak in a pipe, they are going to get worse.  I had a friend to had attack in the middle of the night.  He had to go to emergency.  He told me, he thought it worse than his wife having a baby.  It hurt so bad.

I've been to emergency three times, one time cutting my finger with a chainsaw.  They fiddled fucked around until I stated screaming I wanted some damn help.  But the last time I had fell and really hurt my back, this one day it was hurting so bad the pain was running down my arms.  I walked into emergency and told them I thought I might be having a heart attack.

I felt a pressure against the back of my legs, it was a nurse with a wheel chair and off we went she was almost runninng into the room we went,  in came 4 nurses who started working of me.  A minute later in came the doctor and they checked me from head to toe.

They found no heart problems, but the doctor told me anytime you think your having a heart problem come to emergency it could save your life.  They gave me muscle relaxents and painkillers  and I got better right away.

If you have pain and need a doctor go to emergency.  The Illegals do and it works.

Painting the walls in one of the bedrooms of the new abode.  So much for one coat covering.  Oh well, at least the walls are shorter in this house.

Hope it's not a pastel blue or pink you're trying to paint over.  Those two colors bleed through forever it seems like.

I have lived in a 130 year old house for 47 years.  I have painted the rooms several times.  I never got any paint to cover all of the walls in one coat.  Even it its the the same color.

Does primer work on those walls?
Take time to smell the roses.

There is a primer I think it's call Kile.  I will prevent bleed through if you have a spot on a wall that will not take paint.  But I found out that covering a light color with a dark color is pretty easy.  Let it dry a little bit and touch it up with some more  paint.

But covering a dark color with a light color is hard.  Just count on two coats.  If you paint with primer first, you still are painting with two coats.  Also there are paints that have primer in them.

But I did find out one thing, cheap paints are not a good bargain and the last paint I bought from Lowes, I was not happy with.  Good luck.

Or. . . you could pay more for the paint formulas that are primer and paint all in one, and skip the second coat altogether. . .

The primer is called Kilz

You're right.  I hit the wrong key.  Kilz is the primer.  Used it for years.

Three coats did the trick, now I have started on the other half of the room.  Moved furniture and painted, then moved it all again to get to the other half.  Only have to move some of it back this time.  I am painting the walls a very neutral off white, over a nice shade of dark green.

Should be able to get a second coat on this afternoon.  Didn't want to bother with primer, since all it would have likely done is eliminate one coat of paint.  No gain there as i still would have been smearing paint three times.  Got to get some more paint after lunch.

I can sympathize with you.  I had to paint over midnight blue once and it was a bear too.  Thank goodness it was only one wall though.
