QuoteSuch is the lament of the party out of power in Washington. Republicans on Capitol Hill say they have many good ideas and want to join with President Obama and the Democrats to alleviate the country's problems. They want to collaborate on a health-care bill, a jobs bill, a clean-energy bill. But they can't, because the Democrats—intent on pushing through a radical agenda that is out of touch with real Americans—won't listen to them. Republicans want to help the president succeed, but he won't let them

Repubs had t he opportunity to have things their way from 2001-2009. Obviously it was a debacle. What's maddening is that instead of working towards correcting past mistakes and attempting to make things better, they seem intent upon being a logjam. ONLY the Republican way is acceptable and to hell w/what's best for the country.

I have to say that this idea of "lets do what is best for the Country" thing, despite you believe it is NOT what is best for the country is crazy....there SHOULD at the least be an open forum between the two parties, to come to a "middle of the road" so-to-speak, but the repubs has been locked out of the process...been slammed, and have been made out the bad guys, and what really pisses me off is, the dems have had complete control to do, what THEY think is best for the country and bring there very own partisan bills to a vote....the have the votes to do so, but yet they continue to blame the republicans because THEY are not all JIGGY with what THEY want to introduce to the Americans.....F'ing do it, if it is so damn good for Americans!!

seriously........just bring the bills to a vote....IF the repubs play games, go around them....and do IT for God's sake, but quit freakin playin games and pointing fingers at the republicans.....I think, THEY know that these bills is NOT what Americans REALLY want, so they are to big of Wussies to have the balls and do what they keep saying is "best" for the Country....

really, it is driving me freakin crazy!!!

I cannot wait until November when Americans vote some common sense BACK in washington...and actually DO something that will FIX this broken country.

Henry, you need to go some where, like on a hill with a beautiful field of grass, on a beautiful sunny day, with clear blue sky and big fluffy clouds slowly driffing by and look over this beautiful country and revaluate your thoughts.

Since I have never seen you, don't know what you have done for a living.  I have only read what you have written.  Sir, from you are the most greediest, self centered, stupid thinking person I have read in this forum.

Your against healthcare, why because you think it will hurt you and your medical care.  If you are against socialized medicine give up you medicare card.  Your against socialisn,  give up your social social security card.  You don't want to pay taxes, ok don't use anything the rest of us taxpayers have paid for.  I really don't want you on my paid for roads.

Your against unions, have you worked for a scab company where you are underpaid, theated like shit, work in unsafe conditions, with slave driving dumbass bosses.  Maybe you owned one of these companies, maybe you were one of those dumbass bosses who like to take advantage of people under you power, just because you are just plain mean.  I'll beat you wouldn't want to for a person like yourself.  Every problem can be traced back to the last 26 year of Republican control of congress.  Don't say that ended when the Democrats took in 2006.  We had 49 Democrats and two Independents and you think we had control of old Joe Leverman, I don't think the Democrats had control when George W. had the veto.  He passed every thing the free spending Republicans wanted and he vetoed every Democrats' bill, including the Stem Cell research bill, which maybe would have built him a new brain.  Surly anyone with a brain and a person who believes that people come first, instead of money, will find your thought totally stipid and mean sprited.

I never said I was against healthcare, that to me seems to be a "stupid" statement, one that I never said....I simply just don't want a HC that puts our government in the vast control of my daily freedoms...I know that there is a problem as it is now, but firmly believe that there are better solutions than spending a $trillion$ to achieve it....as far as my SS Card, I would GLADLY trade that baby in, if I could take that money and invest it myself...in a heartbeat...and I never said I didn't want to pay taxes....NOT once have I ever, ever said that....but to get it straight, I especially do not want a bill that NO ONE knows what is in it, UNTIL it gets passed....(and that is a direct quote from Nancey Pelosi, btw)

I'm not against Unions....I'm only against unions who got too greedy, that got us into the mess that we are in today...such as the UAW, who was full of greed and corruption...who single handedly destroyed the heartbeat of America....they took advantage of a good thing...Skilled pay for Unskilled labor....that doesn't fit into what America was built on....NOW, the IBEW, is a union who I think has done fantastic things for it's workers and the Industry.

since you seem to like the word "stupid"...it appears to me that it is "stupid" comments like: "Every problem can be traced back to the last 26 year of Republican control of congress"...well that makes me not to want to even discuss further with you on this, because you clearly don't know what you are talking about...especially when you assume I am a "most greediest, self centered, stupid thinking person I have read in this forum"...and...that I am "totally stipid and mean sprited"....eh, I just don't care to partake...

Troll, I like you, I find you to have a great sense of humor, but I have no more need to discuss certain issues with you...if you are going to fall into the class of people such as Dan Foster, I learned a long time ago, that It is usesless to discuss with someone who has to put others down to make their point...I don't have time or the energy to discuss that way anymore, I am here for the fun...period.

have a great day...

Hank.. :)

Well, you're talking to a UAW autoworker, Skilled Trades Worker 38 years, I don't know where you got a hard-on for the autoworkers and the UAW.  But I'll tell you I think my union did one hell-of-a-job for us and that's what their suppost to do.

You talk about giving unskilled people, skilled trades money, that's just plain wrong.  You say that all of the IBEW workers are skilled workers, and the people who support them in the IBEW but not skilled, are given a substandard wage, is that what you said?  The company that moved in to my plant after Ford moved out and moved most of it overseas, now have a three tier pay levels, skilled  $19, (I was making $21 per hour 14 years ago) the assembly workers $10 and cleanup worker, the ones that do the really dirty and hard work, minimum wage  $7.10

My God, you can't raise a family, have a car or do anything on $7.10 and that's great with you.  That's one of the reasons I call you self-centered.  You believe all people who are like you and skilled workers are to get all of the high pay, and everyone else deserves substandard wages. This is the reason, I like to use the word stupid.

The UAW was smart enough to outsmart the big three auto companies, the real BIG SHOTS.  One of the best and smartest thing UAW did for us was the cost of living raises.  The big shots thought that the cost of living wouldn"t go up that fast.  I remember the first contract.  They gave us 1 1/2% raise (chicken feed)and the cost of living raise.  If you look back to the past contracts, you find that our cost of living raises were higher than the actual contract raises.

I think the government missed out on a good thing by not letting the UAW negotiate our foreign trade treaties.  I think the USA would have kicked ass instead of what really happened, the deals all of the college educated dumb-asses did in Washington.

One more thing, you say you would like to have all that money you put into Social Security and have invested yourself.   You must be very smart and clever.  My wife and I have a man and wife who has a RV trailer next to our at Salomonie Reservoir who owned fine cabinet and wood company, he's 75 and still working, he lost his ass and almost his business when the high-tech bubble bursted and now because of the housing bubble burst they aren't building many houses.  Years ago, I sat  down with my money manager and stockbroker and Me and my wife bought what was called Blue Chip Stock.  Well with the George W. bubble bursted, we lost $62,000 out of my retirement fund.  Since Obama has been in, we are back to there we were in 5 years ago, he must be doing something.

So you keep putting out your stuff and know that I am here to keep you on the straight and truth.

The Troll   ;)  ;D
