This morning, someone flew a small airplane into the office building in Austin, Texas that houses the local offices of the IRS.  He was an independent software developer who had been raped by the tax code over and over and over again, was fed up with the IRS and felt like this was the only way he could be heard.  Sadly, he was correct because had he not done what he did, none of the tens of thousands of people who are now hearing about him or his story ever would have.  Here's the note he left on his website.[\url]
Arguing with Christians is like playing chess with a pigeon.  No matter how good I am at chess, the pigeon is just going to knock over the pieces, shit on the board and strut around like it's victorious.

The truth is slow, but relentless. Over time it becomes irresistible.

I'm betting that his "letter" or as it is sure to be named "manifesto" will be taken down forthwith in the name of "national security".

The FBI has already requested that it be removed from several places where it was posted.

This message is at the original website.

This website has been taken offline due to the sensitive nature of the events that transpired in Texas this morning and in compliance with a request from the FBI. Kinda ironic that the FBI is reinforcing this man's words by asking the sites to take down his letter.

Ironic, indeed.  I saved a copy of the .pdf file.  As someone who continues to deal with the IRS over issues originating from my time as an independent business and information systems consultant, I understand his sentiments completely.

That letter hits real close to home here too!  (I printed out a hard copy since I knew it would be subjected to censorship and "draconian" law enforcement).

And anyone reading it that thinks it is impossible for the IRS to drive someone to these extreme measures, has not had an "encounter" with these bottom feeders.

They'll take everything you own and throw you in jail to boot, for as little as 1,000.00 US. They'll empty your bank accounts (all of them) and it won't matter if their doing so imposes severe hardship upon you and your family. Even to the point where if you set up a repayment agreement and are 1 day late, 1 time, they'll nullify the agreement and strip your accounts until the amount they want is submitted.

They've done some of that crap to me, and the rest to personal friends of mine. All upstanding citizens that got some bad advice from licensed tax professionals, or accountants, or made an error in filing their return. And all treated like common sewerage by the IRS.

They'll come to your home, work, or other locations you frequent, and take you away at the drop of a hat. Even when they are proven to be wrong.

When I was a young lad home on leave, they came to my parents home at 5 AM on a Sunday morning, and put the cuffs on me because they lost my documentation. They were hauling me out in my underwear when my mother showed them a copy of my return and its supporting documentation.

And it only gets worse from there!

I certainly do not endorse or condone what this man did, but I very much understand why he did it!

What a difference 24 hours makes.

Had this truly been a terrorist attack we would still be watching video and reading of the events, since it would be headline news. But since it is only a disgruntled taxpayer, and it happened at the height of tax season, it is now relegated to the "also happened" status. . .

Poor bastard! Even in death big brother torments him.

Tiger Woods has pushed him right off the front page!
