That guy needs to crawl under a rock, and STFU.  He's clearly lost whatever marbles he may have had left.

agreed!!...THIS is what give you guys fuel to attack, the vast amounts of folks who are Christian, a bad name....and the sad thing is, I bet there will be a ton of Christians heading that way (as we speak) to help out..... with millions of $$$...and medical supplies and love..and this usually never gets any press....

the thing you are missing is the vast majority don't pay any attention to him in the first place......he has his following.....Pat has been unafraid to shoot his mouth off since his beginning.....people like yourself give him more AIR time, he loves it when he makes the news.....even if it means saying something outrageous...

Quote(CNN) -- More than 100 employees of the United Nations' mission in Haiti were unaccounted for Wednesday after the earthquake that caused massive damage to the country's capital, Port-au-Prince, U.N. officials said.

Among the missing were the chief of the U.N. mission in Haiti, Hedi Annabi of Tunisia, and his deputy special representative, Kim Bolduc of Canada. U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon told reporters in New York.

The grim list of destruction from Tuesday's quake included the U.N. peacekeeper compound, a five-story building where about 250 people work every day.

Ban said the U.N. headquarters at the Christopher Hotel collapsed in the quake, and that people are still trapped inside. He said possibly 100 or 150 people were in the building around the time the quake struck.. . . .

According to "Fux News" -

Quote
The United States is considering housing Haitian refugees at "Camp Justice," the guest quarters at Guantanamo Bay. At 180 miles away, Gitmo is the closest U.S. base to Port-au-Prince. Guantanamo Bay was actually built up to house Haitian refugees from the Aristide crisis in the early 1990s. Haiti's prime minister has told CNN that "hundreds of thousands" of people have died following Tuesday's earthquake. The quake was the strongest earthquake to hit the island, experts say, since 1770. The headquarters of the U.N. mission to the island is among the collapsed buildings, and more than 100 of its employees are missing.

A medical perfect storm???  :spooked: :spooked: :spooked:

(CNN)  -- The devastation caused by Tuesday's earthquake could decimate what fragile medical care exists and spawn a "perfect storm" in a country already struggling to fight rare tropical and infectious diseases, health experts said.

On Tuesday, a magnitude 7.0 earthquake ripped apart buildings, shearing huge slabs of concrete off structures in the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. About 3 million people -- one-third of Haiti's population -- were affected by the quake, the Red Cross estimated.

The disaster cut power, electricity and other utilities. This could leave people without clean drinking water and at greater risk of malnutrition and disease. The potential new mass of displaced persons could create crowded, unsanitary conditions that facilitate the spread of contagious respiratory infections, said Dr. Peter Hotez, head of the department of microbiology at George Washington University.

"What you have is the perfect storm of infection," Hotez said. "What you have is a breakdown. It is already a fragile infrastructure with high rates of infectious and neglected tropical disease. Now there are potential breakdowns in sanitation, clean water, housing and subsequent crowding. That's a terrible mix."

Cripes. I was thinking about this very thing early this morning as I viewed several reports in the media over my morning cups of lifer's juice. Clearly these folks are in a lot more trouble than what pictures can communicate. It will be interesting to see how the world responds to this. . .

I haven't heard about other countries but the US is sending a small carrier down with helicoptors to assist and the Methodist churches are already collecting money to send there. I am sure the Red Cross and other organizations are gearing up also.

I was just reading comments in reference to a CNN article about aid groups rushing to help Haiti ... the amount of people who think it's wrong to send aid there, it's wrong to send aid to Bill Clinton's humanitarian organization, and all this other crap is just sickening.  I don't understand any argument AGAINST sending aid. People are just selfish I guess...

My fear is that the response will be more political than humanitarian and as a result minimal because Haiti has very little to offer in return.

A fear I share.

Haiti has been utilized as a political puppet by a lot of entities inside and outside of its borders; this very country being but one of them. And as usual it is the people of that country that pay the price for these cloak and dagger initiatives; hacked and maimed, sucked of everything valuable in their world, including their very lifeblood. I expect it will continue with some political faction or another assassinating its president and initiating a hostile takeover unless an international group of peacekeepers can restore order and distribute aid PDQ!
