  Years ago I use to take monthly, Newsweek and Time both at the same time.  They seem to be news magazines and they seemed to "fair and balanced".  But they got so far right wing and overly pro-corporation and Republican.  Beside that they got so Yuppie, articles like the 5 best colleges, Harvard and Yale alway leading the pact.  Too Republican and too Yuppie.

  So why would I believe them?

I think you'd better go back and check.  It was proven to be a total lie and the papers were faked. Even though they tried real hard to make something out of it they couldn't and they even went so far as to say someone said it so it must be the truth.  You can spin it however you want it was all a lie.
