Money that otherwise would be better spent stimulating the economy rather than stroking a political panacea!
Her money, her call.  I would imagine it is spent in some ways to stimulate the economy but the fact remains she has just as much right as Kerry, Gore, Pelosi, Reed, Sharpton, Bill Clinton, and the rest to make big bucks.

well, the way I see it clearly, we need to do this so we will have a stimulated economy in 2012..... ;)

it is NOT too stimulated right now...

So let me get this straight- it's okay for a supposed private citizen to go around sucking up funds from the wealthy to hoard over a course of two or more years, eliminating millions that would otherwise be going toward business investments that would create blue and white collar jobs now?

so let ME get this straight.... YOU would want the SCOTUS to rule that nobody can do that?...you think gov knows how we should spend our money? that maybe they should make MORE laws saying exactly how or where we should spend our money?

She earns it and you're darn right she has the right to spend it as she chooses just as any other private citizen does.  In case you've forgotten her husband does own a business in Alaska.  Besides how do you know what she's doing with her money?

NO, that is unequivocally incorrect, (and off topic but since you brought it up); I AM against faceless corporate entities obtaining even more influence in our political process and government, as they have with the SCOTUS decision granting them the ability to BUY the offices of influence within it.

Not that they were not doing it already, but that decision provides them the ability to double dip in the process by affording "gifts" and funding for propaganda campaigns; thereby reducing the PRIVATE individual's vote to nothing short of asswipe. They will BUY political offices for individuals in exchange for favorable legislation that will negatively impact the PRIVATE citizens ability to pursue life, liberty, and happiness.

I don't think I have to tell anyone about how those corporations treat employees like so much human chattel, hiring and firing at will and with little to no consequence. Their actions demonstrate they have little to no regard surrounding quality and quantity of life where their employees are concerned. How can you think it will be any different where the millions of faceless (in their view) PRIVATE citizens are concerned? It won't, and thereby make living within the laws of the land impossible for the average citizen, but a cake walk for corporations.

It's "we the people", not "we the corporations"!

The "opposition" demonstrates its hypocrisy in supporting this hogwash piece of legislation, as well as when they criticize the present administrations revamping of the tax rates for those making 250k and up to pay for healthcare reform. And the apparently self appointed poster child for all of this is none other than Sarah Palin herself.

I for one find it hard to understand how anyone can support a private individual running around the country diverting millions in potential job creating capital, toward a political war chest that will do nothing toward the stimulation of business, job creation, or the economy; and simultaneously decry the implementation of policies and programs that do all three of these things.

The "validation" I hear most often is that taxation of the high earners is restricting the input of these individuals toward business growth and job creation. Ironic, when you consider the fact that it is this very same sector of the population that  is largely contributing to the "My Pretty Pony Palin" war chest.

So why is it okay in one case and not the other? One is constructive and the other destructive, and it isn't very hard to see which of the two is the best path toward positively impacting the lives of average citizens in an expedited manner. If you take off the blinders and approach it from a neutral perspective that is. Most will not though, because they've already become engaged in the emotional windstorm of propaganda that is being distributed with ever increasing volume.

The problem a lot of people are having is that they don't seem to be able to separate the private citizen from the political one when it comes to Palin. She is purposely blurring that line by sensationalizing public commentary upon aspects of her personal life within political forums. Make no mistake, she's out there flying her flag to promote a political agenda and the funding she is generating can only be legally expended in that pursuit. Moreover, she utilizes private speaking engagements for which she commands $100,000.00+ fees, as opportunities to promote party agendas - and thereby double dipping.

My prediction is that by the time the laundry is done the Pretty Pony Palin is going to find herself being ridden by the Internal Revenue Service and the DOJ for tax and funding violations. Then she'll really have a reason to bray!

and HOW, exactly is she doing anything any differenct than any other politician?..........THAT, is how they play the game....it is all about the ability to raise money....at least that is the way it has always been played in moderen history.

Do you think Obama was any different? In 2008, Obama raised more money in one month than any presidential candidate has ever recorded in a one-month period with a whopping $66 million....ONE MONTH!...he made a killing off of his books...he was doing the same thing Palin was/is.....

I still believe, the only reason some don't like Palin is because they feel "threatened" by her power and popularity....she has been demonized by the media ever since she was mentioned...and she is STILL rolling along....I remember Reagan was the same way....he was demonized by the media as a dumb hollywood actor as a war monger and on and on and on...but he did not get rattled, nor did he waiver from his political beliefs...he ALWAYS stood with conviction and spoke what he believed to be best for this country, much as is Palin.

You still never answered me on one thing, do YOU think the gov should step in and say how we should spend our money when it comes to politics?

Private individuals, yes to a degree; via maximums for political contributions toward a single candidate. Otherwise the rich will wield undue influence over the political process.

Corporate entities; absolutely and without question, they should be severely limited to the point where their ability to influence our political and legislative processes is minimized to enhance the will of the people.

Its the hypocrisy of it that rubs me the wrong way. She QUITS a high level state elected office to take her life on the road, to do nothing more than stir up a political windstorm intended to block the current incoming administrations ability to implement change. Period.

The bigger question is why? She does NOT have the support, ability, or faith of her constituency to hold the office of POTUS, but my personal belief is she wants another shot at riding another candidates coat-tails into the office of VPOTUS, another office she has already demonstrated she is ill equipped to hold.

I will give you my take on Palin...based upon what I have read, she left her governorship for a couple of reasons.  First, she was pending several lawsuits filed against her, by those on the left who was paid to find anything they can use against her to stifle her run as VP and to discredit her as all costs...she did not have the money to fight some on a personal level, nor did she think she could do her job as elected with all the hoop la.....she stepped down for the sake of the people.  Secondly, she knew she could also serve her country by, speaking and touring.  Generating $$ for her party to set up a Conservative victory in 2010.

She is also testing the waters for her "potential" run at the POTUS....the only way to do so, is to get out there and tell the people what she stands for.  As far as her ability, she IMO, has already proved she can be an effective politician, by her experience as a mayor and as a Gov....more so than a one term senator and a community organizer.  Now, Can she get the support?....THAT, is what she is going to find out over the next few months...

BTW, HOW has she shown that she is ill equiped for a VP?...I don't think McCain lost because of her.

with all that said, i want to make it clear, I am not ready to throw my support to her as my next POTUS...but, I would take her in a heart beat over Obama if the election was today....

and Biden is a moron...period.  And I think he is a bigger joke than Quayle was....BY FAR.

my 2 cent for the day.... :)

Revenge of the Zombies.  I absolutely love Sara Palin and Michell Bachman.  Their the best thing that has happen to the Republican Party in years.

I just love to see hear them talking to the Teabagger.  Palehorse, just like the comedian Ron White  said.  "You can't fix stupid."

If they can talk the idiot Teabagger, to form the third party, it will be absolutely be great. :sarcasm:

33% of the voters are Christian Wingnuts.  If the Teabagger get enough of these nuts to vote for Sara's and Michell,s candidates.  Hell, the Democrates can walk off the  the whole banana, with less than 50% of the vote.  Go Sara.  Go Michell.

She quit her last job to which she was elected. I don't care what line of smarmy validation she put forth for doing so, the fact remains when the going got rough she bailed. Period. How can anyone even think she can withstand the pressure and stress of VPOTUS much less POTUS? She'll just get her panties all wadded up in her crack and resign in a tizzy, just as she did as Alaska's Gov. (And probably make up yet another smarmy line of validation for that as well, which the kool aid addicts will just slurp right up).

Biden is certainly not any worse than the Shrub was as POTUS. And to say he is worse than Quayle, well that is a really huge stretch. Don't pull a muscle. . .

you may be right, she may have shot herself in the foot, IF, and I say IF, she runs for POTUS...I have others who I much rather see, and hope for, but I will take her "rock star" image she has right now, and hopes she keeps on speaking and stoking the fire for this November....

I STILL say, the left is threatened by her.....and they want her OUT of the Picture or they would just shut up about her, but they refuse too, they keep on and on and on about her and she is getting stronger and stronger everytime.
