As far as the "Dolts" go, my money is on Manning going down within the first 4 games with a "neck injury". Most likely in the game against the Steelers.

Once that happens, stick a fork in em!

Gee, man that's cold.  Where is the Colts spirt.  :colts:  You tired of paying tax to the Colts every time you eat out in Indianapolis. :colts:

If the reports in the IndyStar are to be believed, (and they quote Peyton Manning directly), then I have no choice but to respect him as the epitome of the team player.

Irsay has pledged very publicly to "make him the highest paid player in the NFL" in his new contract which is being negotiated.

Manning has publicly stated within the media, as well as within personal conversations with the Colts owner, that he doesn't want to be or care about being the highest paid player. He stated that he would rather they use that money to keep key players and sign new ones! He just wants his contract done today, tomorrow, or by Sunday, so he can get to work, and for the money to be used to field a competitive team.

I know, the guy is already a millionaire, but it is nice to see someone who puts the team first, and greed out onto the curb.

I hope he has their attention and that they put together a team that tears up the league this year.

I totally respect him for his choices and willingness to make his career a team oriented one; instead of the almighty dollar!

Manning's "availability" for the season opener is in doubt. Looks like the qb is not healing as expected. . .

My question, what happens if Manning can't play anymore?  Does he get to keep all of the money he bargain for in his new contract.

Colts looked like trash with Collins at the helm. Although, with most of the offensive line being rookies he sure didn't have any time to do much!

NIGGA UNDERSTANDS THE OFFENSES PROBLEMS!

BUT THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR THE DEFENSE AND THEIR PERFORMANCE!

THEY ARE USED TO GAMES LIKE THAT!

THEY WERE JUST PLYING WITH THEIR HEADS UP THEIR ASSES AND NOT ON THE FIELD OR IN THE GAME!

NO EXCUSE FOR THE WAY THE DEFENSE PLAYED IN THE FIRST HALF!

IT'S LIKE THEY READ TO MANY NEWSPAPERS AND WATCHED TOO MUCH NEWS!

AND JUST REFUSED TO SHOW UP!

CAN'T PUT THE DEFENSIVE PLAY ON THE BACK OF THE OFFENSE OR NEW QUARTERBACK!

THEY JUST PUNKED OUT!

Yeah Don, they were believing their own press, that's for sure. They had better put their big boy pants back on. I am already seeing season ticket holders seats on the market for sale. I think the "Luke" may be a ghost town this season. . .

Especially if they play at home the way they played yesterday.

I watched the game and I think a good college team could beat them.  What happened to the receivers.  I didn't see them in action.   :(

I had the opportunity to go to the game and take my 11-year old son, who is a miniture NFL expert/analysis.  This was his first time ever to go to a game and he was THRILLED, despite the horrible performance by the Colts.  We sat on the forth row up in the endzone.  You can hear the players talking to one another.

It is amazing how this team can be so revolved around one player (Manning) that they can go from a SB Contender to being lucky to win ONE game, just because of his absence.

The place was packed until 10 minutes left in the forth quarter....then the folks began to head for the doors.....it was about half full when the game was over, and MOST of those were Browns fans.

Troll, that is a good question...what happened to those receivers, because there was some easy to catch passes that were dropped.

The Colts were built by the owner around a franchise player. Not a quality QB backup in sight for years. They were incredibly lucky that he played so many games without an injury. Now they have to live with Kerry Collins, and the rest of the team is going through the motions because they are whipped before they get out of the gate. Receivers are dropping balls they should catch. Without a quality QB backup, the Colts are playing like just about every other team in the NFL that has lost its #1 QB.

Welcome to the real world.

Oh, and blame your owner for not drafting a quality backup and getting him ready to step in if it became necessary.

I agree, we should have at the least, a QB that understands the offense, with a "decent" arm....too many eggs put into one basket.
