The headless body story of the man they say was Gary Lake. It is true he Gary Lake is my Uncle my dad's brother. He was murdered and no Noone was never charged for that which is sad and still to this day upsets my family. I showed my dad these posts and it upset him people posting and not knowing the true story behind my Uncle's death. Gary Lake was no myth he was a good man and didn't deserve the hand he was dealt from a man that took an oath to help people but he didn't he took a man's life and destroyed a family leaving all of us not knowing the reasons for this.

Okay. As has been stated earlier in this thread, I would just like to get some very basic facts around this case out into the open. I would like to start with a short list of questions that surround the victim in this case.

Who is Gary Lake? What was he like? Where did he work? Did he have a family? A Wife?
Is there any truth to him being a confidential informant for law enforcement at the time of his death? If so, any details around that would be helpful.

What is the family's understanding surrounding the details of his murder? What were they told?

Was his head ever found?

Which lake exactly, was his body found in?

What was the exact date when his body was discovered? Who discovered it?

Most importantly, I'd like to hear what the family feels over all of this. How has it impacted your lives? Have any of you continued to contact the authorities surrounding progress or the lack thereof in this case?

According to the family of the victim, who is the most likely suspect and why?

What is the true story as the family sees it?

 :) My family and I are grateful for those that have shown their concern surrounding my Uncle's untimely death. I know I would like some answers as well as my family to some of our unanswered question s that we may or may not have as well. If at all possible clear up some of these myths. The victim and his family would like some answers as well as to why if we can still get them ifat all possible and I am doubtful that we will ever reach closure in this tragic death or those who did this crime will ever be convicted due to the years that have passed.
