Peace through Stregnth...............we had the greatest peace time.....with THIS diplomatic policy.

Shallow acts of aggression and bravado are the realm of the weak; strong people and nations don't need to rely on such antics.
Arguing with Christians is like playing chess with a pigeon.  No matter how good I am at chess, the pigeon is just going to knock over the pieces, shit on the board and strut around like it's victorious.

The truth is slow, but relentless. Over time it becomes irresistible.

Obama accomplished more in one day of diplomatic talks with Iran than Bush accomplished in 8 years of puffing out his little, *****-boy chest.

Nothing is gained via the killing of human beings; only through dialog is progress obtained.

Henry apparently doesn't understand that his hero, Reagan, lived by this belief.

Indeed he did; and it is the reason I admired the man.

I completely understand....and it was HE, who was able to be diplamatic, WITH a strong military....and the killing of human beings does NOT have to take place....

Everything you seem to advocate suggests otherwise.

For one, yes and you consistently espouse a confrontational stance over a diplomatic one.

I think THAT depends upon the situation.

please elaborate...

What was accomplished there relative to the stated purpose for the initiative? Answer that question truthfully and you will understand its relevance. (Leave out the moral victories that may have been achieved via collateral damage, since they were not the stated purpose).

  • No weapons of Mass Destruction
  • No Insurgents or training camps until well into the initiative, when they were moved there.
  • Thousands of lives lost for what
  • The good men and women of our nations military placed into harms way, for what?
  • Iraq was weaker than North Korea, yet we attacked them anyway.
  • The initiative effectively trashed our diplomatic efficiency and reputation world-wide, which is a huge bottle-neck toward progress that is rightly recognized and being corrected by the current POTUS!

And all of this to shut a bully up? Why?
