Last Friday, a co-worker and I took a little ride.  375 miles round trip, from the R&R Junction restaurant in Dana, and back.

Inside the R&R, an actual rail road car was the basis, but it has endured some additions.  Still on the inside it is obvious how it started out.

We covered a lot of the western part of the state, going north east to Lafayette, for a stop at the Red Crown Mini Museum.

Then south to Williams dam on the east fork of White river.

Along the way we stopped for lunch at the Red Dog Saloon in North Salem, but found it was closed until later in the evening.  We headed across the street to an establishment that left a lot to be desired, but hey, it was food.  We did end up detouring through the country when we found IN 39 closed between US 40 and I-70.  GPS is dang handy at times like that.  I made Dennis follow, since his Harley is a little on the noisy side, and since I knew where we were headed and he didn't.  This was my first long day trip on the Goldwing, and all I can say is WOW!  The more I ride that bike, the better I like it.  Riding large, modern, touring bikes makes a high mileage day go by with ease.  Either of us could have kept on riding by the end of our trip.  We a little tired, but definitely not worn out.
