QuoteMILLVILLE, N.J. - Maybe this is why they call it High Street. Police confirm the odd-looking plants they pulled last week from a flower basket in Millville's business district were indeed marijuana.

The plants were discovered by a passer-by. Police responded to the scene with a ladder and confiscated the 3-foot-tall plants, which were growing in a basket hanging from a lamp post.

The city's parks and recreation department, which tends to the baskets, says it has no idea how the pot plants got there.

Part of The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, faces High Street. I worked in a bar there in the late '60's (The Heidelberg North -- better known as the North Berg).

Kinda funny...........a similar incident happened with some flower planters on the sidewalks there.

'Course none of us knew anything about it. We surely would have made it known to the authorities if we had.

'Nother kinda funny thing -- lots of leaves missing. Must have been some voracious bugs. Come to think of it, some of the flies were really creative.

Did you also notice that plants were also "high"  they had to use a ladder to get to them. LOL
Looks like I've come full circle.
