Well, well.  No need to worry about a fundie christian take over of the gov't; They ARE the gov't.  Of course, Ensign and Sanford are both "members" of this congressional cult and both believe they are above the law and normal rules as "god has chosen them to lead".  Sound familiar (http://daveelder.com/Blog14.html)?

A 2003 list had these members.  I wonder who else is involved?

The Family is, in its own words, an "invisible" association, though its membership has always consisted mostly of public men. Senators Don Nickles (R., Okla.), Charles Grassley (R., Iowa), Pete Domenici (R., N.Mex.), John Ensign (R., Nev.), James Inhofe (R., Okla.), Bill Nelson (D., Fla.), and Conrad Burns (R., Mont.) are referred to as "members," as are Representatives Jim DeMint (R., S.C.), Frank Wolf (R., Va.), Joseph Pitts (R., Pa.), Zach Wamp (R., Tenn.), and Bart Stupak (D., Mich.).

A new book tells the current story:

"It is a truism that almost any sect, cult, or religion will legislate its creed into law if it acquires the political power to do so." -- Sir Arthur C. Clarke

No worries, numanator, if "the family" is responsible for choosing Palin to destroy John McCain's chances for pres, then they aren't too fukin smart (by default, if they are christians).

Heck, if he had been able to simply read your original post he would have noted dems amongst their numbers.
Arguing with Christians is like playing chess with a pigeon.  No matter how good I am at chess, the pigeon is just going to knock over the pieces, shit on the board and strut around like it's victorious.

There are plenty of non-Christian Democrapic nuts in the Congress for sure. They are taking down the United States as we write.
