Mom

Are there universal moral principles that are right for all persons at all times?

me

Hum, I think I'd have to say no to that one because IMO morals are a cultural thing and would differ from one culture to another.  Some people might think that certain morals should apply everywhere and to everyone but each country has their own values and beliefs and therefore different moral values.
Don't know if that makes sense or not but that's the best I can explain it.

No, nothing is absolute to everyone and every time and place.

They are good if they can conserve, and only eat when someone expires a natural death.  No harm done.
Looks like I've come full circle.

Good point but I don't think it probably works that way.

I would agree, if we could first agree on the definition of "harm." There are places where encouraging people to think for themselves is considered seditious. I'm just sayin'....

OMG Lo, you just inspired a mental image of people on a forum somewhere arguing whether or not eating humans is harmful.

Altough, I couldn't agree with you more.
Only after the last tree has been cut down. Only after the last river has been poisoned. Only after the last fish has been caught. Only then will you find that money cannot be eaten. - -Cree Indian Prophecy
