QuoteWASILLA, Alaska (Associated Press) --

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin abruptly announced Friday she is resigning from office at the end of the month, a shocking move that rattled the Republican party but left open the possibility she would seek a run for the White House in 2012.

Palin, 45, and her staff kept her future plans shrouded in mystery, and it was unclear if the controversial hockey mom would quietly return to private life or begin laying the foundation for a presidential bid.

Palin's spokesman, David Murrow, said the governor didn't say anything to him about this being her "political finale." He said he interpreted Palin's comment about working outside government as reflecting her current job only.

"She's looking forward to serving the public outside the governor's chair," he said

Is the GOP delusional enough to think she could ever become president?

She is.

That's all it takes.

If, by some miracle were to be elected, people like Cheney, Limbaugh, Coulter, etc., would have a perfect puppet to push their agendas through.

How scary is that?

A puppet, just like bush.  No one in their right mind thought bush could get elected, but he did.  The next pup...president might be pa.., pa..., palin.  If so, like gore vidal, I will leave this country for good.

Great. . . Now she can take her "my pretty pony" act on the road full time!

I guess she will just have to promise the American people not to quit two years into her presidency.  You betcha.

It is funny that some news people speculate that when she said "higher place" or whatever it was she said meant the Presidency.  Maybe she wants to be a Scientologist like Tom Cruise or something!

Maybe, just MAYBE, there is some truth to her statement, that she can no longer serve the people of Alaska, because of all the negative attention she is getting from the press...and the money that is being spent to fight the ethics charges that are being thrown at her...NONE that have been proven but the costs of fighting them are enormous...

why are you so afraid of her?.....I thought America knows best?...that is what we heard with Obama....IF this is true, then, she will win or lose, according to America....

Not afraid of her.  Why do you just dismiss all the ethics violation charges as nothing, just because SHE claims they are frivolous?  There is a long list of violations and she is just the republotard hypocrite that thinks she should get away with them.  Your blind faith in anyone that claims god and guns as "country" is pathetic.
