The bike has been parked since last Tuesday.  I found cord showing on the rear tire :o  Being the cheapskate I am, I ordered a new tire and am waiting on it to arrive. Then I will dig out my Harbor Freight tire changer and have at it.

I got my first "performance award" on the bike the other day.  I had passed to cars following a semi at 50 mph, but failed to slow down quick enough.  They clocked me at 91, wrote me up for 73 in a 55.  Good thing they didn't get me a few seconds sooner, when I was at 110+ 8)

I have started re-routing some wiring in the house, up above in our huge attic.  I want to lay down some flooring, but I have electrical junction boxes and wiring laying across the joists.  I have to relocate the boxes to the sides of the joists, as well as drill holes in the joists to route the wires through.  It's hotter than all get out up there, should have done this when the temps were low.

My oldest son is coming home for a visit in a couple of weeks.  Have not seen him in a year, so we are anxious.  He is bringing Mac, our grand dog, and we are not sure who we are most anxious to see.

That's about it for now, just wanted to post something to keep things alive.

Tell me about it.  It had been 7 years since my last, so I was overdue.  Funny thing is, had I been in my truck or car, the result would have been the same.  I would have made the pass, then let it run a bit before backing off.

If it is any solice, I will take your experience as a warning to watch my own driving moving forward. I have this nasty habit of doing the same thing when passing, truck or bike. . .

(Although I will admit it has been quite a stretch since I achieved 100+ mph in/on any vehicle I've operated within a public roadway).

Is that what you kids are calling it nowadays?

The truth is slow, but relentless. Over time it becomes irresistible.
