sterotyping....

Ever thought about where stereotypes originate?
Arguing with Christians is like playing chess with a pigeon.  No matter how good I am at chess, the pigeon is just going to knock over the pieces, shit on the board and strut around like it's victorious.

An interesting aside to that whole thing is what we saw yesterday.  In Tuesday's primaries, you had a bunch of white, evangelical Christians voting for a Catholic.  Normally, that's something they would never do, unless of course, they're scared of a Mormon.  ;D

LMAO!  You are SO right!

The evangelicals, who are cultish themselves, see the Mormons as a true cult.  They may have differences with the Catholics, but they sprang from their loins.  Therefore, since the evangelicals are all about making this election about religion, they aren't going to buy into a Mormon while they will buy into a bat-shite crazy Catholic who wants a theocracy and has SO much in common with the dominionist evangelicals.

The exit polling actually supports that too.  Most of the people who supported Santorum said Romney "wasn't conservative enough."  What that really means is that he isn't enough like them and their religion.  They get all squeamish supporting someone who believes that Jeebus had the cajones to come over to America and spread the good news after his resurrection.  In other words, Jeebus should just keep his holy ass in the holy land where he belongs and all will be good.

And since we're on that topic, and this is the dead thread:

Jeebus - still dead after 2,000 years if he even existed at all.  :icon_twisted:

YUP!

If you read about the Mormons and their religion you can see how ridiculous it is, not hardly any more ridiculous than the other versions of x-tianity, but as you point out it's OK to them for their god to have arisen and walked around the 'holy land', but it isn't OK for the Mormons to say he left there and came here to walk around some.  Blasphemers!

The whole religion mess is hypocritical beyond belief..."My gawd's better than yer' gawd, my gawd's better than yours, my gawd's better cause..."  (sung to the tune of the Ken L Ration song)   :icon_twisted:

He apparently existed. . . because they found his ossuary. . . Only problem is that ossuary, the tomb it was contained within, and the additional individuals entombed there, do not support the "fractured fairy tale" that is the very foundation of their fanatical religious views!
