Around E'ville (the Devil's Playground) a common sport among the local cops is to pull over some intoxicated, nubile young female, and trade a blow job for letting her skate on the breath-alyzer. It happens. It ain't an attempt to overthrow the constitution. Scummy cops are everywhere. Their influence is limited.

Wait a minute.  How do you know it absolutely did not happen?
If it really happened, as anything other than the usual bubba-cop shakedown, some news agency OTHER THAN WND would have reported it. And the participants would have been identified.

Mac, I have a volume deal going on camo. Interested? No charge to you 'cause I like you. The revolution could use someone like you, who never gets too mad to laugh.

I think it would have only been picked up by some other news agency IF he was pulled over for the reason stated.  He could have been pulled over for some other reason, and then there could have been 'discussion' concerning the bumper sticker, and the passenger blew that conversation out of proportion.  That's what I'm saying.  I can pretty much guarantee that I've had a conversation with a police officer where he threatened me, and that threat was not in the police report, but several other people heard him make the threat, including 4 other police officers.  I could have then reported the incident on a blog, and it wouldn't have made what others consider 'legitimate' news.

You pointed out that police officers can be corrupt just a couple of posts back, and not everything is logged that they do while on the clock.
Looks like I've come full circle.

Yes, I did. But they aren't corrupt as part of department policy and protocol. The "story" seems to be implying that pulling over cars with the particular bumper-sticker is department policy.

And that's where I think that IF the discussion took place, a third party blew it out of proportion.  There are many people that have a problem with the authority of LE, and they WILL say things that make the cops look bad.  And who knows...that third party MAY be a subversive.  Using reverse psychology.  Ya know?  Point the finger in another direction, create paranoia, let the people do their work for them.

Wait a minute.  How do you know it absolutely did not happen?  Do you have any idea of the number of conversations that take place between civilians and law enforcement that aren't written down (logged)?  It's highly possible that someone was pulled over about something, and a discussion over the bumper sticker came up....and conversation about terrorism may have occurred.  The third party may have just decided to make it more than it was.  Not to mention..if it's a small town area, god only knows what they think they can pull you over for.  I don't think we can say that this person was not pulled over and discussion of the bumper sticker did not take place.  All we can say is someone was trying to stir up trouble for someone, and it did raise some kind of interest among the conspiracy bloggers.

Believe what you'd like; I'm still calling bullshit.

It's also a work of fiction.  Do you get this worked up about prime-time sit-coms too? How 'bout a little sense of proportion here?
Obviously you can't think for yourself. Just keep following along. You must like being told what you can and can't do with your own body or in your own home. I bet you receive government assistance.

Seeing how you've worked yourself into a tizzie over something that never happened, I agree...the sheeple will obviously continue to drink the koolaid.
Did you not read the first line of the post? I said 'if it is true'. Why do you blindly agree with things that infringe on your rights? Do you enjoy paying high taxes to support people who refuse to work? Do you like being told what you and cannot eat or drink? I can't imagine why anybody would enjoy having their rights taken from them. People protest all the time saying their rights have been trampled on but, they don't seem to understand the trivial rights that are being taken away from them everyday.Take off your blinders, and think it through a little,eh.

Based on your lengthy tirade, it is reasonable to assume that you thought it was true.  No, I don't blindly agree with anything that infringes on my rights (like the Patriot act with which you don't seem to take issue).  WTF do taxes and people not working have to do with this subject?

:spooked: Do I need to get out the hand puppets so you can understand this? Anytime the rights of a citizen are taken away by the government it's all connected. If this did go down like it was stated it infringed on the mans right to free speech. His bumper sticker opened him up to investigation, and the cop acts like he some sort of terrorist. It's ridiculous that a person can't even have a bump sticker on their car without raising suspicion.  I guess using the phrase 'don't tread on me' is now a crime in the U.S.? You're not getting the big picture here as to how all of these things are connected. Eventually, as more of your rights are taken away it will hopefully sink in for you. Until then just continue to follow along, and make sure you stock up on koolaid. I hear they've had to double production to meet demand lately.  :o

Excuse me?? I'm the one who searched the net for another instance of this story being reported. How is that following along?

No, sugarplum, I don't receive government assistance. I work in a profession that demands I make judgment calls on decisions where hundreds of thousands of dollars are at stake. That's why I weigh all statements carefully, and verify everything presented as a fact. And for the record, my company also receives NO GOVERNMENT ASSISTANCE, and presently is operating at a substantial profit in five states.

I would be very interested in the reasoning process you used to draw the conclusion you posted, and which I quoted, above.

EX, where is that graphic we were going to use of pounding one's head against the keyboard until it was bloody?

Hmmmmm.... Pari, I like the way you think. I believe you have real potential for some advance fifth column work in anticipation of the revolution. I can make it worth your while. Mac is in, so we can stop and eat barbecue now and then.
