Quote from: Henry Hawk on May 06, 2009, 12:41:16 PMwhat authority does HE have to "paint" the front door of every American Home?...

First, let me ask what you think  "paint the front door" means?

And remember, I can sit here without ever leaving my chair and "paint" your front door, your back door, your mailbox, that picnic table in your back yard, etc., etc.

I know what it means....but WHY?....I can think of several reasons WHY it 'could possibly' be a BAD thing....but WHAT good thing can there be, that our Government needs to spend ...boo koo dollars on in the next 90 days?...

All I am asking is WHY?

You guys give me the warm fuzzies on this will ya?...clue me in.. ;)

Okay, let me re-phrase...Obama wants a GPS mark...

Ah, so that's the real problem...this president, whom you hate despite claiming you'll keep an open mind and wait to see how he performs (bullshit), wants to do something so it must automatically be wrong.

I know it flies in the face of you tin-hat conspiracy theory and what not but is it possible that capturing the location of the information as it's entered improves the accuracy of the survey?

first of all....I dont HATE this President...but, he does have an ideology that I oppose...so, it is very HARD for me to get excited about SOME issues that I think are BAD for the country.

I WILL ALWAYS question him, until He can make a believer out of me.....I simply WANT what is best for this Country and MY Family.....since, I think there are better ways to acheive it....I WILL be very skeptical.

NOPE, I aske you first!...Tell me WHAT good things that our Government has the reason to do this?....I'm being quite serious Bo...patronize me...and TELL ME.

A huge BULLSHIT!

Blah, blah, blah...because Rush or some other right-wing idealogue fruitcake told you to think that.

I figure that as long as whatever he's doing pisses people like you off, it's gotta be good.

That is a fact...I may not like him...but I really don't like the word HATE towards him...that is fact

Secondly, I have had MY own opinion on politics, since Ronald Reagan...He was the one who drew my attention into the political arena..and though I do sometimes listen to Rush and Hannity...I read and listen to many other souces...including my liberal buddies right here in the ZONE...btw, I do NOT always agree with 'republicans'....I like what many libertarians have to say also....

and Thirdly, Obama pissing me off and my ilk....may be the BEST thing that has happened to this country since winning WWII...because, people ARE waking up, and beginning to pay attention to what is happening to this country...and...THERE WILL be some serious changes coming up very soon...that WILL be for the GOOD.. ;)

That's already happened.  People woke up and realized that if they took a laissez faire attitude toward the political system and didn't vote, dumb people could vote in a dumb president like Bush.

Nope. You made a vague reference "I can think of several reasons WHY it 'could possibly' be a BAD thing...." and then asked me to get specific. That's a little bass-ackwards isn't it?

OK. I'll play your little game ....

"By taking advantage of no long-form requirements for the 2010 Census, coupled with access to current data from the ACS for targeting areas requiring special attention to improve coverage, the potential cost and accuracy of the 2010 short-form-only census can be greatly improved. Add to this the availability of a fully GPS-aligned MAF/TIGER system allowing for a dramatic reduction in field infrastructure costs resulting mostly from a near elimination of paper and the huge staff and space required to handle that paper, we have the potential to completely restructure the data collection, data capture and data processing of Census 2010. This will result in a census that is more focused on coverage issues, less operationally risky and less costly. "
