Pressed about why he waited three days to publicly speak out against AIG paying the bonuses, Obama told reporters, "It took us a couple of days because I like to know what I'm talking about before I speak"

Certainly, this was never high on Bush's list of priorities and isn't for several of our forum posters either.

IT took him THREE days to figure out that AIG's bonus's might be outrageous?.. :rolleyes:

it only took a few minutes for the rest of America to see this...

that was just a witty way to dodge a question.....he sure didn't know what he was talking about before he spoke on Leno about the special olympics...or the 57 states that he traveled through.... :rolleyes:

IMHO W was often too quick to respond surrounding events or challenges; often coming off as, (and actually being), uninformed on a given topic and frequently being caught unaware.

I strongly believe it is incumbent upon any POTUS to understand a given situation/topic/challenge to his/her satisfaction before formulating a response. And with the pack of wolves we call the media always nipping at their heels, it only serves to elevate the importance exponentially!
