WASHINGTON – The top Republican on the Senate Budget Committee says the Obama administration is on the right course to save the nation's financial system.

But Sen. Judd Gregg of New Hampshire also says President Barack Obama's massive budget proposal will bankrupt the country.

Gregg says he has no regrets in withdrawing his nomination to become commerce secretary. He pulled out after deciding he could not fully back the administration's

I personally believe he wants to bankrupt this country to ruin it, to bring it to its knees. I just didn't think it was possible to do it in 3 lousy months.

I haven't been here in a while. It's good to see that GG and ME are just a ill-informed and wrong on nearly every subject as ever. In an ever-changing world, it's nice to have some constants.
