Arguing with Christians is like playing chess with a pigeon.  No matter how good I am at chess, the pigeon is just going to knock over the pieces, shit on the board and strut around like it's victorious.

The truth is slow, but relentless. Over time it becomes irresistible.

Talking about the possibility of doing something and planning on it are not synonymous.

Even coming up with that idea is pretty lame.

No it isn't. Unless one considers the possibilities it leaves the door open for criticism surrounding that failure.

I actually admire the fact that the new POTUS is performing due diligence in considering many options before making a decision on the path moving forward.

As with the stimulus bill, they just assume he thought it up overnight and pushed it through. Most forget that once he was elected he went right to work on it, 60 days or so before he even went onto the payroll!

The problem is that most of his critics are preconditioned by the Chimp method of having a brain fart and running with it before it is given any consideration. So, they create things like this article and end up looking like chicken little!

Oh that is right, we will just bitch about him thinking about things now.

Damn it!  I bet he wants lunch today and it ain't gonna be McDonalds!!  Ass!
Take time to smell the roses.

He might be working on his list of people he'd like to bitch-slap! Wonder if there are names from BOTH sides of the aisle on it.   ;D

So then we just sit back and let him come up with ideas and don't dislike any of them or have an opinion about them, is that what you're saying?  Why is everyone so protective of him anyway?  Is it possible I wouldn't have liked the idea no matter who came up with it?  Wake up and get a grip...all of his ideas are not going to be good ones and this one just happens to be one that wasn't.
I don't want to hear about Bush this and Bush that either I really want to know why everyone thinks this particular man can do no wrong and should not be criticized.

I'm not protecting him.  And yes all of his ideas are not going to be good ones, but people that jump all over the "down with Obama!" bandwagon as soon as an idea hits the table is not giving this educated man who is surrounded by educated people a chance to think through ideas.

I guess they could be keeping all of their planning/ idea sessions a secret from the public like 99% of all politicians do.  I guess you would be better with that or would he then be an ass for not sharing enough with the average joe?

At this point I am more down on Congress than I am Obama but this idea was his so of course it would appear that I am down on him.  Congress is not making his job easy by any means, in fact, they are making it more difficult. Congress would like nothing more than to keep things they are putting in those bills they are having him sign secret, even from him.

I would submit that you are out of your depth second guessing his decisions and that he undoubtedly doesn't give a crap what you think anyway.

Tear the wheels off the "Down With Obama" bandwagon!

Somebody HAS to lead this country out of the morass it's fallen into; the populace has charged Obama with the job. Let's hope he is up to the challenge. Some of his ideas will pan out and some won't. But we can't trust our vaunted legislators to get us out of this mess -- they've proven too many times that they're only interested in their own little agendas. Barack has the reins firmly in hand; it's his chance to be a statesman, not a politician.

In my opinion, he blew his PERFECT opportunity to show his statesmanship, if he would have rejected the porkulus bill........his very own words while campaigning was that he was NOT going to allow bills loaded with pork....and the very first bill he gets is loaded and he RUSHED it through....

had he put the brakes on that bill and told congress to get 'even SOME of the pork out' he would have gotten some respect by millions of Americans...I know I WOULD have greatly admired THAT move....

but he did not.....
