Before the moon disappears for its daily rest, and just as the sun peaks over the horizon, I take a walk listening to nature and seeing wondrous scenes left by the night.

Some say God is 'Nature', some say God is a 'She,' and some say God is a 'He.' None of that matters as long as my faith is with me. My solitary walk by the misty bog is full of a living nature. There are trees tall and some barren, croaking frogs, and Ospreys in-flight.

The Osprey nest is safe above the fray, readied for new life in the 'spring.' My wish is to have the birds, frogs, and such prospering into the next millennium. So our children's children can see what Mother Nature created and not just read about a life that once was.

We borrow the Earth for such a short while, we need to preserve the beauty, and the life giving resources for generations to come so they will have a glorious gift from their benevolent ancestors.

The walk is not only for me to find serenity, for I carry the morning meal for five abandoned felines living near the bog on the bayou—felines cast off by lost souls who cared for themselves more than Mother Nature's creation.

No matter how rushed, take a moment to reflect on the splendor around you—and wonder what if the trees were gone, the oceans polluted, and the birds didn't fly—how sad would that be to have such a gift only to be destroyed by uncaring, gluttonous souls.

Peace be with you and take a walk with me,

Grrrrrr...non-working links are not relaxing!

Arguing with Christians is like playing chess with a pigeon.  No matter how good I am at chess, the pigeon is just going to knock over the pieces, shit on the board and strut around like it's victorious.

The truth is slow, but relentless. Over time it becomes irresistible.

Very nice pictures! I find being near water refreshes my spirit as well, although quite honestly, being outside is a quick fix if I can't be near the water.

Your walks sound much like mine, with exception to feeding the abandoned cats. I would, but haven't found any. One of the greatest pleasures in life is nature and it waits there like an old friend to be noticed.

I've tried to teach my children to slow down and appreciate...I hope that someday they will. ;D

Walking is the best, and most natural, mode of transportation. Thanks for the pictures and your thoughts.
