Warning, this is an oil thread.  Oil threads have been know to be harmful to your brain.  You have been warned!

Once again, the extra expense of synthetic motor oil was well worth it.  I went out to start my truck this morning in the -10 temps, and it started up like it was the middle of the summer.  The engine spun over easily, and had instant oil pressure.

None of that slow cranking, hoping the oild pressure will come up BS.  If you have not switched to synthetic, you need to.  The truck has 102000 miles on it, the car has 220,000 on it, and both are doing great with Mobil 1 synthetic oil.  The truck will use a quart in 5,000 miles and the car has stopped using any in the same interval.  I change oil and filter every 5000 regardless and they just keep on running.

Exterminator

I've used nothing but Mobil 1 for years; both of my cars were outside last night and both fired right up without hesitation first thing this morning.
Arguing with Christians is like playing chess with a pigeon.  No matter how good I am at chess, the pigeon is just going to knock over the pieces, shit on the board and strut around like it's victorious.

The truth is slow, but relentless. Over time it becomes irresistible.
