I sure your right, but it will hit all the punk hollywood magazines and the talk show circuits....for about the next couple of weeks...
It's already a hot debate all over the internet. Some people think it was an accident, and some people think the Travoltas neglected to give him much needed medication. Hard to tell what the truth is.  I did read that he had a skull fracture, and a broken nose though.  :spooked:

How ironic it is to see people labeling religions other than their own 'cults'.
I think it depends on the actions of the congregation. I don't consider Scientology a religion. I consider it a cult. There is a difference in them. Most churches don't hold their members hostage, if they don't want to be there. Most religions aren't so cloak and dagger. They have their own "doctors" that probably are nothing more than witch doctors. Most churches don't have numerous suspicious deaths that go unreported. IMO... there is a BIG difference between the two. It is just crazy some of the stuff they believe in. Spaceships and aliens..... give me a break....

No crazier than any other religion.

I read where he was on anti-seizure meds and while they did reduce the frequency he was still having them. The side effects were problematic and JT and wife made a decision to take him off them. . . Then this. . .

All religion is cult, I agree; and it is the zealots amongst them that make it problematic!

Did anyone else hear that he had a form of autism and that their home was rigged with a bell to let them know when he went into the bathroom or out doors?  I heard this on the radio today.  Of course I'm sure they would never say that he was autistic.  Wouldn't that go against Scientology?
Take time to smell the roses.

  :stupid2: I thought groups of people who gather at churches were called a congrugation.

When I think of cults.... I think of blood letting and sacrificing animals. I also think of cult leaders as people with the warped perception that they are God. They instill fear in people to keep total control of their members. My biggest problem with Scientology is the fact that  their beliefs are sooooo out there. If you're obsessed with  Star Track I can understand waiting for the mothership to come. But rational human beings actually believe this crap.  :spooked: Wow!!!  :spooked:

Yes, I heard that about the bell. And yes that would go against Scientology. Did you hear that he had a skull fracture and broken nose. IMO... if he fell that hard.. somebody should have heard him fall. I've read it was a very small house. I think it was 1000 sq. feet. I have no doubt that they loved him but, I think they may have been ashamed of him, because he wasn't "perfect". I think they denied that he could be Autistic or Epileptic. Very sad situation.

How about dashing babies against rocks?

Seemingly rational human being s also believe that someone walked on water and came back from the dead.

I'm not sure if they dash babies on rocks but.... they may sacrifice babies.  I don't think the fiery pits of hell threat was what I was goin' on..... I was thinkin' more on the threat of bein' murdered if they tried to leave.  :spooked: For some reason it's easier for me to believe somebody could walk on water, as opposed to the pod people from outer space, and the mothership commin' to take them to glory.

You do realize where he pulled his comparison from, don't you? The 1st definition of cult reads: 1.    a particular system of religious worship, esp. with reference to its rites and ceremonies. Some are stranger than others and some are less physically harmful than others, but they're all cults.

Well, I would definitely say they're strange (huge understatement here) in fact, in my book they have got to be the strangest.  :spooked: Maybe I'm wrong (or maybe not) but I see a huge difference between Scientology, and other popular religions. I just hope to God the Travolta's participation in Scientology didn't cause their son's death. I hope they didn't withhold treatment because their "religion" is against it.IMO... that would be murder.
