Hey Daisy, hope you don't mind...I thought I'd start you a thread to talk about decorating ideas (different from Gryphon's, of course).

Good question!! I think I need some suggestions. I'm not sure on colors...if I'm getting everything new, I guess I could change up my colors, but you all know me...neutral, warm, earthy, blacks, silvers....nothing flashy. Any suggestions?

Right now, I have a black and silver (silver is velvety, black is silky) bedding set that has what looks like Japanese plant-like designs on it. Does that make sense?

Makes perfect sense!

I'm not exactly sure what to suggest, but my tastes are pretty much in line with yours.

I just received December's edition of "House Beautiful" and the featured cover room is done in browns, crisp white, & pale greens...it's BEAUTIFUL! It also has an asian feel -- bamboo covering on the walls!

Gryphon

Speaking of house beautiful....I subscribed to them a few months back and last week received the Oct. Nov. and Dec. issues all at once! I was miffed.

Daisy...that platform bed does lend itself to an Asian feel in the room. I think youre right on track!

Sunny

Then you saw the December cover that I'm talking about! Did you like it?

Pictures! Pictures!

And I'd be on board with a light green. There is a new, fresh light green that I really like. Its hard to explain, but almost  <--that color, but not as yellowy...

Well, I looked at the House Beautiful site & they're still featuring the November issue. I just scanned the picture, but not sure if it'll look the same as it does in the magazine. Plus, they put a lot of yellow-ish green accents in, too that I would leave out!
