Anyone remember any old bands from the area like the Cardinals who cut a 45 titled "It Sure Don't Taste Like Tomato Juice"

The Wrecking Crew was pretty popular in the late 60's.  I don't know if they got out past Pendleton or not, but they were hot down there.

I remember a Gerald Chambers that was in an Anderson band, but I don't remember the name of the band.

Seems like I remember that name. Wasn't he a drummer?

Not sure if they were from around here but I remember a band called Seven Seas.  I know they played in this area.

Was that the name of a band?

Then I know him. Saw him a few years back. I think he's still in the area and still plays once in a while.

That was Roosevelt Johnson and the Seven Seas. A real well known and popular band around the area. Used to play out at the Plaza Room out on Nichol Avenue in the early 70's and the 67 Club over in Muncie. Rosey retired and used to be seen riding his motorcycle around town. I think he may have passed on.

Thats one of the few bands that I really remember from back then because of the trumped player playing two at once.  I remember when he used to come to the blues jams at the bowling alley and I asked him about that band and he was amazed that I remembered it.

Rosey and I knew each other. I think they may have also played out at the Stardust on Broadway across from Shadyside park and maybe the Depot (the old train station on Fletcher down by 9th street) back in the 70s.

Anyone remember Jubal?
