For some reason using God's name, and the word pu**y in the same sentence seems soooo very wrong.

You are correct as there are some indications that jesus was a homosexual.

Naw, God knows exactly what is going on......things happen, period.....I think God utilizes EVERYTHING for the good.....sometimes it takes harsh things to happen to remind us that we are mere, fragile human beings.....I think the more we decide to put God on the back burners, the more likely things like 9/11 can and will happen.....it is not a Gay thing, it is a total lack of man forgetting God, that makes us more vurnable than we was a few years ago....

and if you want to get into a pissing match, I can post way more quotes from our founding fathers and the people of that time, that God and the Holy Bible was revered and the thought process of governing played an important part of establishing this country.  period.

Sure, sure, sure and I can post many quotes from the Founders that indicate their revulsion at christianity.  We've done all that, before.  Do you really want to start that again?  Let's just try this one; why do we have an the Establishment Clause?

You can "say" it until you are blue in the face, but it doesn't make it true.  They founded this country as a secular one, free from the tyranny of a state-run church.  The outcasts that came here calling themselves Pilgrims (read: insane) were the ones that tried to establish a state religion, and they failed.  You need to study the history of our country a little closer.  Try starting with the failure in Massachusetts.  That group even tried to ban the pagan rituals we now call christmas, and they failed as a state.  I, for one, am glad they did.  I like all the current, pagan, secular trappings (xmas trees, lights, decorations, rudolf, etc, etc.) of xmas and celebrate them every year.  You need to figure out how Rhode Island was founded and stop talking about a christian nation, or how any god had anything to do with the founding of this nation.  It is a lie, often repeated, but still a lie.  The Massachusetts Bay Colony FAILED.

"The Puritans made a point of abolishing the calendar of Christian feasts and saints' day. The celebration of Christmas was forbidden in Massachusetts on pain of a five-shilling fine."

http://www.auok.org/roger_williams_&_bay_colony.htm

"Consonant with his convictions about religious liberty, Williams did not believe that civil government should enforce all of the Ten Commandments. He believed that Christians should observe all of the commandments, but he held that civil government should only enforce the "second table" of the law -- the last six commandments. The commands of the "first table" of the law -- the commands regarding religion and worship -- he believed should be left to private, individual conscience.

Williams had a forceful and memorable way of making his point about the inviolability of conscience. He said that the authorities "cannot without a spiritual rape force the consciences of all to one worship" and he came to the defense of the "souls of men who by persecution are ravished into a dissembled worship which their hearts embrace not."

By asserting this Williams challenged the leaders of the Massachusetts Bay Colony at the point of their most fundamental conviction about the law. They believed that all of the Ten Commandments should be enforced by civil government. In their eyes, his rhetoric threatened the peace and order of the Colony."
