Anderson's is higher for some reason and you get less for your money.  Mom gave up her basic cable because it was going to cost her I'm thinking $60 or a tad more for basic channels and that was 2yrs ago.  So far I haven't had any problems with my internet but I sure hope when my introductory offer runs out in a few months I'll be able to get either U-verse or DSL.  A friend of mine has the Comcrap bundle and half the time her phone doesn't work.

We took the plunge and bought a Roku box for our viewing pleasure.  It downloads TV shows and Movies via the internet.  The cost to purchase the Roku, and a couple yearly subscriptions to Netflix and others are about the same as the Satellite dish was every damn month.  I already have a great antenna in the attic that picks up all the Indy channels quite nicely, so the dish got the boot.  Next year all I will have is the subscriptions, so the price gets even better,

I'm about ready to look into the antenna thing myself. A guy I work with is on the cusp of retirement and did so recently. I am going to pay him a visit soon and have a gander at his set up.

I'll end up having to upgrade my broadband service to enjoy the kind of setup you have now, and I am going to run the numbers to see if it is worth it or not.

I have a nice collection of dvd's and blue ray discs from which to choose so movies isn't a real issue for me. In fact, about the only thing I will miss is CNN and to tell you the truth I will only miss that when some global event transpires. . .
