Not my house and probably a big energy waster (unless it's solar lol) but wouldn't this be an awesome bedroom?

ROFLMAO
I don't think I'd ever leave my room...that's breathtaking!
well, you know how people make gingerbread houses to manifest their dream mansions????
How about this one:

I made it for a friend a few years ago... her hubby had decorated for Christmas by hanging an American flag in the front window and stringing Christmas lights around it.....
waaah laaaah
Well, since our place is still under construction, i'll show you what Magistrate did at my sister's house last summer....
She is a fiesta ware collector, so took some of her favorite pieces to the tile store and ordered tile to match. They were made in Spain, and it worked up to be just AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL!!!!!

Anyone want to hire the Magistrate?
Yes! He is hired! I want to tile my backsplash actually, but dont have a clue on how.
Very nice work! Love the colors...can I have her cupboards, too?
I'll have to add a picture of my husband's handy tile work...he finished our floor yesterday! Just needs to do the trim work now.
My dream family room (view only I'd have to mix it up w/some color):

BTW any of the "water" can be replaced w/a nice lake or river.

MsM...I see a theme developing for you. I could create your dream house pretty easily (on paper at least) with what youve posted here.
I wonder if the homes we are drawn to is, sort of like a personality indicator like.... likes open spaces = enjoys freedom....type thing.
thats an intersting thought...
I like very traditional things generally speaking (though my SC house is really more Pottery Barn looking and my WV house is more...well, early everything"
Could that mean that I'm...gasp...a conservative??

Could be!! ROFL!
The LRHG knows I am pretty obsessed with symmetry! ROFL! I like the front of a house to be very symmetrical in appearance. I am not a fan of asymmetry as viewed from the road. Even my shrubs and plantings need to be that way too! ROFL!
Me too with the symettry thing. My dream house would be a brick box of a Georgian or Federal style...
something not quite as grand as this:

Here is my dream home...one of these days I will have a home like this, since my husband's best friend is an architect.

Hey, hey... i can think of a LOT of things that are worse to be....
come on in... the water's fine!
Daisy that is really beautiful (even if it was asymmetrical! ROFL!)! I am a really big fan of Craftsman styling! I love the light in the foyer and that staircase is awsome! I chose Craftsman style cabinets for our home and hope to find some Craftsman piece for the bathrooms also. We have alot of stained glass fixtures to go in the house too. They are more toward the Victorian than the Craftsman era though. Our home will be very eclectic in style (that fits both the LRHG and myself quite well!). I wish you well in your dream. We are thrilled that we are now working on building that dream together, for ourselves.
:D :D :D :D
I'm a sucker for asymmetrical, btw!
Stained glass? I bet that is gorgeous.
That is a gorgeous dream home, Daisy...I wonder what the kitchen would look like with a slightly darker finish on the wood? I LOVE the color of the exterior.
LOL, Daisy looks like we have almost the same dream!
Beautiful is not enough to describe it, Daisy! WOW... where did you find it????
