To watch, see, and hear the squalling that is going to take place over this one!
Los Angeles (CNN) -- Democratic California Gov. Jerry Brown said Thursday he had signed a bill that will require public schools in the state to teach students about the contributions of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Americans.
The bill, believed to be the first of its kind in the nation, will also require teachers to provide instruction on the role of people with disabilities. . .
Maybe ol' Baptist stroker will move to Cali!

Oh My GOD. Pat Robertson will have a stroke, I hope, He'll will have his whole Christian TV audience praying  :preach: that California will fall of the edge of the United States of America.
What will happen to California will be worse than Katrina did to New Orleans because of the gay marriage. :preach: :pope: :ghost: :spooked: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I hope they don't have another earthquake out there or Pat will take credit for it. :devil09:
Oh, my, my.
Ok, my question is why do they have to make the distinction? Is it really necessary to say Joe here invented ice cream and he is gay and Susan invented the sewing machine and she is not gay. If someone asked I don't have a problem but it actually isn't anyone's business, is it? As my grandchildren say, TMI.
Why is it necessary to track "black, native American, jewish german, italian ET AL" history?
Because of a thing called "heritage" perhaps? Because unless we do it will be lost to future generations; dooming them to repeating the events that transpire throughout history!
We cannot know in the here and now, that which will be of paramount importance in the future; so it is imperative that we record All things for our posterity!

Like God and the Bible's significant role in our forefathers creation of our Independence?

Not the same at all.
Prove it! (Both of you)

There is plenty of sufficient proof, but none of it is good enough for you....besides, I just wanted to get a rise out of you......I have already been down that road and have no desire to journey down it again.
But, YOU know it is true!!
You explain why it is important to know one's sexual preference when learning who invented, discovered or accomplished something.

You know Palehorse you're just casting pearl at the swine. The reason some people don't want to recognize the homosexual is because if you don't talk about, or teach about them is because if nothing is said about they. Therefore they don't exist.
It's like all of the books of the bible that are not in the finalize bible, is because they don't exist. Quite simple.
Hope they enjoy their stay in the great state of Denial!

Personally, I don't think it is important. If someone accomplishes something of significance and does so against the odds of his past such as growing up in extreme poverty or abuse then something could be said about their overcoming obstacles to achieve their success. Other than that it is not important to the subject, imo.
I think it is important.
Reminds jackasses who don't have sh1t for brains that they do, indeed have sh!t for brains when they make massively stupid statements like:
"Those (n*****s, qu**rs, c**ts,etc.) never invent, discover, or accomplish anything."
Have you ever seen such a mean spirited, evil and cruel people group of so called civilized people. People who want to take your freedom and do it the name of their Lord. They are bigots and racist and they are the new loud mouth Christians. :jc:

There are a lot of things you don't not think is important. Like gay marriage, letting a woman have a right to control her body and life. Things like letting all of the people in American to have the right to health care. Obama care, socialized medicine, single payer government health care (Medicare) or what ever you want to call it.
Also you don't think it is important that the present group of men of the Republican Party wants the poor, sick, old and the middle class to carry on their backs all of the expense of getting us out of debt the Republican Party put us in. Letting the rich and the corporations off the hook the people who really helped put America into a depression and got rich doing it.
You must think it not important the the Republican Party wants to destroy Social Security as we know it, give us $1500 vouchers for private health insurance doing away with Medicare and completely destroy Medicade. You don't think it's important that if you out live all of your family, money and health, you will be thrown out into the street, no nursing home because there is no Medicade. Just think about how unimportant it is.
You see there is a lot a difference between me and you, for I think all of the above is important. :4th3:
Do you never read before you post?

Oh I read it. Now you explain it. Maybe then I can understand what you said.
You obviously never read anything I post correctly or you could not say the things you do. The rest is simply exageration and your hatred of anything that isn't democrat.
So how is it exactly, that we will know whether someone who comes from a challenging background, or overcomes some insurmountable challenge, unless it is tracked and recorded for history?
Who decides what is considered a challenge or insurmountable situation?
What if we overlooked the most important aspect to our posterity, based upon what will be viewed as an unacceptable social stigma in the future?
That is what biographies are for. I don't have a problem with recording it I have a problem with requiring trachers saying so and so invented such and such and by the way he/she was gay/lesbian/transgender/biracial/native american/asian/hetrosexual/crazy/sane/etc.....

Could this be job related. You meet these people through your work? I never made that close of a relationship with the staff while I was in the hospital. :bsflag:
Somebodys sheet is showing!
No, I know a lot of gay/lesbian people, mostly because I have several family members who are gay/lesbian and I know quite a few of their friends and I work with a lot of african americans and hispanic people when they come to the church for help and just to talk about their problems.

You actually let them in your church and deal with they're real problems and give them money and health care.
It's probably a pray session, a couple of Hail Mary's and show them the door with the blessing from God, which cost you nothing. Somebody say Amen and past the offering plate. We need a new expensive stained glass window for the classroom. Let's
I'll bet you have never had anyone tell you the real truth about religion and how false and untrue it is. Bet you.
Sorry to disappoint you but no preaching, no praying, just help when we can with supplies, money for gas and electricity. they don't have to attend any kind of services, just have a picture ID and a disconnect bill. We also have lists of food pantrys the times they are open, and other agencies where they can get help. Now, anything else I can help you understand?

That is pretty much the way our church is to, as a matter of fact, MOST Churches I know, do pretty much the same type of thing.....If someone in our community NEEDS help, all they have to do is ask, they will be vetted to make sure they are legit in needing help by our pastor, then the board votes, almost always YES to help.
Let one of those be homosexual and we'll see what happens!
What kind of a problem do you have with homosexuals?

Name calling again. Ok, you say you don't have a problem, just everyone hates homosexuals and no one would ever help them and everyone is racist. Seems like a problem to me. I don't know what causes you to be so negative about everything but I hope for your sake you find a way to let some of it go. Bad for your health.

What's wrong with name calling, Calling a Spade and Spade is better than pussying around claiming you're something you're not. Anyone who can back what the Republican/Tea Party is doing to the middle class and America deserves some special names and Compassionate Conservative isn't one of them. :dark:

Okay, I've only done this once before, but you clearly are deserving of it. I am now placing your ass onto my official ignore list. I will no longer respond to your ignorant and inflammatory postings.

I missed it, who was the person that was number #1 :no1: on your list?
I can wait to see what happens on this, This was on my home page Century Link.
This unknown man was arrested in Provo Utah for peering in to police cars at the police station. They claim they ask him to leave, which I doubt, which he didn't so he was arrested for criminal tresspass, interfering with a police investigation, failure to provide police with informantion and is being held on a $1,200 bond.
He won't tell what his name is. He was found without a bill fold, ID or any money. They have checked his fingerprints NOTHING. They have check for missing persons, NOTHING.
The police say he must be wanted for something, a crime, Nothing. He must be running from something, a family dispute, Nothing. One officer said you might even be a registered sex offender. Give me a break.
They won't let go of him, he ain't leaving, he's eating three squares a day, roof over his head, health care and a safe place to be if he's homeless. My question is, who's got who. One person said you just might be telling authority's to go to hell. Give them hell Mr. Doe. Just another fine example of our judicial system. They don't have a damn thing against him but bull shit and they can't get blood out of a turnip. This is going to cost some tax dollars. :rotfl:
