Personally, I don't think it is important. If someone accomplishes something of significance and does so against the odds of his past such as growing up in extreme poverty or abuse then something could be said about their overcoming obstacles to achieve their success. Other than that it is not important to the subject, imo.

  There are a lot of things you don't not think is important.  Like gay marriage, letting a woman have a right to control her body and life.  Things like letting all of the people in American to have the right to health care.  Obama care, socialized medicine, single payer government health care (Medicare) or what ever you want to call it.

  Also you don't think it is important that the present group of men of the Republican Party wants the poor, sick, old and the middle class to carry on their backs all of the expense of getting us out of debt the Republican Party put us in.  Letting the rich and the corporations off the hook the people who really helped put America into a depression and got rich doing it.

  You must think it not important the the Republican Party wants to destroy Social Security as we know it, give us $1500 vouchers for private health insurance doing away with Medicare and completely destroy Medicade.  You don't think it's important that if you out live all of your family, money and health, you will be thrown out into the street, no nursing home because there is no Medicade.  Just think about how unimportant it is.   

  You see there is a lot a difference between me and you, for I think all of the above is important.

No, I know a lot of gay/lesbian people, mostly because I have several family members who are gay/lesbian and I know quite a few of their friends and I work with a lot of african americans and hispanic people when they come to the church for help and just to talk about their problems.

Sorry to disappoint you but no preaching, no praying, just help when we can with supplies, money for gas and electricity. they don't have to attend any kind of services, just have a picture ID and a disconnect bill. We also have lists of food pantrys the times they are open, and other agencies where they can get help. Now, anything else I can help you understand?
