This is for the yahoos who seem to think that all is well with our planet and that humans aren't doing any harm.
This is about as disgusting as it gets:
QuoteLOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Marine scientists from California are venturing this week to the middle of the North Pacific for a study of plastic debris accumulating across hundreds of miles (km) of open sea dubbed the "Great Pacific Garbage Patch."

I don't believe anyone said we aren't doing any harm to the planet. What I disagree with is the Al Bore theory of "global warming". Yes, clean things up and conserve but don't get stupid with it like they, congress, are trying to do.
Amen, me.....

That's an outright lie. There are no climate scientists refuting global warming who don't have some connection to industry or big oil...
none...nada...zero...zilch! I've looked for them; they don't exist.

The scientists who work in climatology are being paid more or less what their colleagues in other scientific fields earn commensurate with their education and experience and they would make that despite the results of their research. To suggest otherwise is both dishonest and reeks of an ulterior motive.

So you're saying that the scientists who were doing the research for Al Bore didn't have an ulterior motive? What about making money for him? If they disagreed with his theory they were fired.

The scientists weren't working for Al Gore, they worked for various government agencies (for governments all over the world, not just ours), foundations and private research fellowships. All Gore did was present his interpretation of their findings. As far as being fired, I only heard about one instance and believe that it was absolutely warranted. Consider...if 100 weathermen forecast rain and one forecasts sunshine and he contradicts the others consistently even after it rained when he said it wouldn't, would you want to keep that weatherman on your payroll?

Oh, his interpretation of their findings? Which just happen to put money in his pocket through purchasing carbon credits through his company.... And what makes him so qualified to make any interpretation on science? Couldn't his interpretation be wrong? Oh, I forgot we can't question dems can we?

Now you're trying to change the subject by referring to Gore's interpretation in his movie as though it's exactly the same as the conclusion of the aforementioned scientists when that isn't necessarily true. The gist of it, though, remains the same...if you deny the consensus, you're an idiot.

Nope, not any more of an idiot than you are for not agreeing with me we just have different opinions. That's the difference between us, to disagree with you makes a person an idiot but to disagree with me only means we don't have the same opinion.
It is not that hard to find, HONEST, dialogue that supports that man made global warming is absurd... (http://www.uncommondescent.com/off-topic/father-of-climatology-calls-manmade-global-warming-absurd/)even the very man, who is considered the Father of Climatologist suggests so....nor is is that difficult to find scientists that oppose (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_scientists_opposing_the_mainstream_scientific_assessment_of_global_warming) the mainstream assessment of Global Warming....
and even the so-called scientific community (http://bravenewclimate.com/2008/11/06/do-most-scientists-really-believe-in-global-warming/), who believe Global Warming is real, most believe it NOT to be an immediate nor a catastrophic problem...that the Al Gore crowd is TRYING to shove down our throats.
Who cares what caused it? If the sea-level is rising, let's build some frickin' sea walls. Geez, what is it with you people? Y'all gonna stand around assigning blame when the water is up to your knees?

That is not the argument with me.....I just don't want to cap and trade ourselves into another depression....by the time we spend a zillion dollars on sea walls, the sea-level may never even be a problem....the earth warms and cools ALL the time...that is just a simple FACT....I am ALL in favor of our continued efforts in being more 'earth friendly'.....but not at the outrageous $$$ that the Gore crowd WANT's us to do....I think the debate is a good thing, but let's get it RIGHT before we begin to economically PAY for something that we cannot fix....at least that is my opinion.

The links you provide are too stupid to even consider. The first is a site arguing in favor of intelligent design...enough said...the second is a Wikipedia entry but if you actually follow the names it lists, all have ties to industry and big oil...you're just a gullible shill.
Whay amazes me is that rightwingdings never seem to speak to the amount of revenue that can be generated from conservation efforts/projects nor the potential money saved.

I think MY point is quite clear.......I know we are missing eye contact here...but, MY whole point to ALL of this is, YES, man is polluting this earth, we HAVE to do more to eliminate our mess and we have been for years now. LET's just not cry the world is ending IF we don't enforce hundreds of "Global Warming" Taxes, and "Global Warming" governing committees....because there is enough debate out there that strongly differs with the "Global Warming" crowd.

Imposing excessive taxes on us and our industries won't change what other countries are doing and won't have that much effect on anything other than costing jobs and losing more industries to other countries.

And she said that I make missing the point look so easy to do.....
Besides the fact that there is more to environmental conservation and protection than taxes, you seem to endorse doing our part to ruin the plant just because you think everyone else is. You act as if doing everything we can to slow down the process of destruction is a liability. That doesn't even pass the common sense test. Maybe you two brainiacs would like to put your heads together and explain how industry can be held accountable for waste and pollution without regulation? The both of you seem to be in contest to see which of you can miss the point by the widest margin.
it is useless to explain anymore.......i have explained my position on this and so has me, SEVERAL times and you guys just read what you want too...the bottom line is, the democrats are in control of everything.........you will find out the hard way.....

20,000 US Beaches Closed Due To PollutionQuoteNRDC's annual survey of water quality and public notification at U.S. beaches finds that pollution caused the number of beach closings and advisories to hit their fourth-highest level in the 19-year history of the report. The number of 2008 closing and advisory days at ocean, bay and Great Lakes beaches topped 20,000 for the fourth consecutive year, confirming that our nation's beaches continue to suffer from serious water pollution that puts swimmers at risk.
