I'm just explaining Rush's reasoning....I understand his reasoning, I may not agree with it.....you should quit jumping to conclusions so quickly.

This IS a political commercial....and it IS doing it's best to sell an idea...period, does that mean, people like Rush cannot object to it?  He only gave his opinion of it...should he be banned from the radio because of that?  What happend to free speech?.....Ten million people listen to him with free will and he gets paid because people like to listen to him.

No, you were defending his stand which was a misleading lie and meant to get people angry at Fox for having passion about a possible cure for his disease and getting off medications which al lhave side-effects and wear off.

Free speech is one thing, Henry.....propaganda is a lie and make to incite against others...it's like screaming "Fire" in a theatre...if you're lying to incite hatred, as Rush does, then you have accountability for the lies you spread and the repercussions for that....

You pass on the lies and hatred, expect to be challenged and called on the carpet for the propaganda it is.

How about the propaganda by Claire McCaskill, who paid for this ad, to gain political favor, by exploiting someone like Michael J. Fox for something that the scientists say is not going to do anything...why should this woman not be called out on the carpet for her ploy...that is what Rush did.....He apologized to MJF, if he offended him, but, his real point was towards Mccaskill......for the record, I like Fox, and truely wish him well, but, most scientist have declared that embroyonic stem cell is not an effective method of a cure.....

What?  I think Michael J Fox is of sound mind enough to know what he's doing..after all, he spoke to Congress about the importance of stem cell research and did it also without his medication and gave quite a compelling testimony.  I think you're trying to build a case where none exists here..

It wasn't that he objected to it, Henry, it was the way he objected. He flailed around, mocking Fox like some fifth-grader on the playground making fun of the crippled kid.

It is disgusting.

Had he done that to someone in person, he would be lying on his back, nursing the broken nose and empty places where his teeth used to be.

But he is such a coward, he wouldn't do that.

Hey, I don't worship him, I rarely listen to him....but, he has apologized publicly and directly to him.....Rush does push the envelope on many occassions, but, like him or not, he is probably one of the most listened to commentators in the business, and he makes mistakes,....I think he is no different than Micheal Moore, except Rush has a bigger audiance and is probably a stronger voice....

Secondly, I'm not siding with Rush on this, I think he spoke too quickly, and though I may not be 100 percent in favor of the embroyinic stem cell research, I really do have a great deal of admiration for MJF, and his passion for a cure...

Check Rush out. (If this link works.)

Glad you didn't side with him (didn't say you did, by the way), but I believe he said exactly what he wanted to say, and no amount of apology will unring the bell at this point.

He knows that.

He did it deliberately with malice aforethought. No doubt.

What's so sad is the  number of followers he has who, with total lack of apparent compassion, followed Rush's comments with hate and malice of their own..

I don't believe that Cookie, Most people who listen to Rush DO THINK for themselves, I DO, though you would not accept that, If you happened to listen to Rush right after that, many callers disagreed with him, and that is why Rush admitted to his analogy being wrong and apologized.....

I truely think you are so, so very wrong about the "hate and malice" of anybody that is not a democrat, I see as much or more hate from them as I do anybody else....
Hate the president, Hate the Evangelists, Hate those uncompassionate people haters... you guys need to take a good look in the mirror...look at the log in your own eyes, before you remove the splinter in others....

See, here's the thing about Rush Limbaugh apologizing publicly.  HE DOESN'T MEAN IT!  That ass just keeps having diarrhea of the mouth then when he's called to task for what he's said, he issues a public apology that he doesn't really mean.  How many times can he keep apologizing before people will figure out that he's just a freaking, moronic lunatic???

Who has 20 million listeners...Is the number 1 talk show host in the world...the BIG difference here is, RUSH is not a politician, he is an entertainor and the people are STILL listening to him... if he was a freaking, moronic lunatic, he probably NOT have 20 million listeners..

Now Kerry, IS a politician, and was wanting to be one of the World Leaders, and he STILL did not apologize for his idiocy, he apologized that people took it the wrong way....he is so pompous that he cannot admit, that what he said was wrong....it is everybody else's fault that we did not get his attempt at humor....that is what I call a freaking, moronic lunatic ;)
