Nothing like getting to sleep after 3 am, then being awakened by your wife asking you "what the hell is that noise?"

I listened through bleary eyes and realized the friggin smoke alarm (electric with battery back up) was signaling a battery problem. . . (I just changed them all about a motnh ago).

SO get up, go downstairs, drag out the 16 foot ladder (the ceiling is vaulted and is 20 feet high), then doing some balancing activities 16 feet off the ground to replace the battery . . . again. . .

Now of course I am WIDE awake, and sleep will be as elusive as a greased piglet. . .

My dog has diabetes. Have to give him insulin shots twice a day. He had a bad night last night. When he has bad night, EVERYONE has a bad night.  He had to go out at least 4 times last night. And then because he loves the cool air, he doesn't want to come back in. I am really dragging this afternoon.

Arguing with Christians is like playing chess with a pigeon.  No matter how good I am at chess, the pigeon is just going to knock over the pieces, shit on the board and strut around like it's victorious.

The truth is slow, but relentless. Over time it becomes irresistible.

I had a cat like that.  He was so sick and so miserable I could stand to see him suffer any longer.  We hate to put him down and my wife went up to the trailer at the lake and I was left with the job of having to put him to sleep.

We hated to see him go, he's in a better place.  I just wish when I get sick and tired of being sick and tired I could receive the love and care we gave him and go the same way.  We haven't had another cat since.  This was years ago and I think I would like to have another cat to spoil rotten again.

12 pumps at the gas station and all are open except the only 2 of them that dispense diesel; both of which are occupied by jackwagons pumping gasoline. And they have the nerve to look at me like I am "disturbing" them because I have to sit and wait on their inconsiderate ass? Grrrrrr.

Oh. . . I am through fighting the weed war. . . This sea of yellow has me pissed off. This year I've arranged for a pro service to come out and pimp slap these damn weeds for me.

I haven't got a whole lot of free time, and the time I do have I don't want to spend chasing weeds. . .

Pretty reasonable too.

Even since before 2000, the average American citizen in this country has been struggling to pay their medical bills, often resorting to using credit cards as a means to pay them.

This resulted in the accumulation of burdensome debt to the average private citizen, and as a result we saw an increase in bankruptcies. So what did our leadership do back then? Why "over-haul" bankruptcy laws of course, and in the process tip the scales in favor of the credit card companies; making them even more powerful. And who do you think wrote the legislation our republican leadership could not pass fast enough to please them? Why the credit card companies of course.

Then George Bush appoints the head of one of the most fraudulent of those companies as his new "credit czar", or as he called it "task force". And this same individual was shortly thereafter embroiled in defending himself against charges that ultimately were validated and as a result his company was ordered to pay over 400 million in fines.

Now we see the exact same tactics being used surrounding healthcare, by the republican party. The insurance companies that line the pockets of our elected officials have drummed up an emotional firestorm against the HCRA, and as a result the number of us exposed to financial ruination is going to expand exponentially while the insurance companies continue to post record profit levels.

This situation is beyond out of control and is now serving to solidify the 2 class system the 1%'era so desperately want.

Anyone who disagrees with this is only a medical emergency away from being cast into the "unwashed masses" of the poor, and only then will they begin to understand the truth of it all. And by then it will be too late; for them and over 50 million other Americans.

This whole "debate" is short on substance and heavy on the emotional propaganda designed to divert attention from the cold hard facts. . .

The healthcare bill is not the answer.  Why do you think the dems in congress bucked against having to go on it when the republicans suggested it be included in the bill that even they, congress, had to be on the same healthcare as the rest of us?  They're exempt from it. Remember?

That is more smoke and mirrors. Exactly the kind of crap that is put out there to divert your attention from the fact they are bending us over and dry humping the 99% group. Using congressional coverage as an example is nothing more than a penis envy tactic.

The fact is healthcare insurance companies own our elected officials and they will never submit to regulation, ever. They have paid enough money to make sure that is the case, and why not? All they have to do is bump up our premiums and deductibles another 30-40% and they recoup the money.

In the meantime that 50 million uninsured pool will double within the next 5 years. . . watch.
