And some people should just keep their mouths shut, observe their customs quietly, and leave others alone to believe and observe theirs.

Who are you referring too?  I think both sides has gotten out of control.  I'm not even sure what we are arguing about.....all I ever said was...

My only problem is, that too many self-proclaimed Christians is caving in to the secular world regarding Christmas.  Christmas IS the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ.  There is no arguement or dispute on this.  I personally don't like it to be referred to as the "holiday season" so we don't upset others.  It is what it is.  CHRISTmas!  Nobody is holding a gun to anyones head to celebrate it. Nobody who is not Christian is pissed because they may get a paid day of of work because of it.  It is up to any business to promote it or not promote it.  If one (business) decides to stand up and promote it as Christmas, the secular crownd get's pissy.  If one stands against it, then some of the "Christians" get pissy.  It is ALL B.S!

I for one, appreciate when a business calls Christmas what it is, and celebrates it.  Those who don't, that is their business, but I will TRY to support those who do, over those who don't.  That is MY business.  I would not go to the point as saying I am at war by any means.

See, Hank, I didn't say a word about what you said in that post.

I simply said that I was tired of those who piss and moan all the time about some non-existent "War on Christmas."

Maybe some over-sensitivity?

Nah, I'm seriously not bothered at all by your comments.  I really just got lost on what we was debating about.

War on Christmas.... ;)

and I agree with you, to a point, there are enough 'loud mouths' on both sides of this issue..........If Sears WANTS to put Christmas Trees up and a manger scenes.....that should be up to them.............IF Target does not want to participate in ANY Christmas celebrations, then that should be up to THEM.  THAT is all I have to say about it.  :)

Indianapolis - The family of a motorcyclist killed in a crash with a Metro Police officer has filed suit against the City of Indianapolis.

Eric Wells, 30, died Aug. 6th when Officer David Bisard crashed his cruiser into three motorcyclists who were stopped at a red light.

The lawsuit will see dozens of people subpoenaed for their testimony about what happened the day of the deadly crash up to and possibly including Officer David Bisard himself.

The suit filed in Marion County Superior court is seeking $700,000 in damages, the most that can be asked for by state law. It names the city and IMPD as co-defendants.

The suit asserts there was gross negligence and extreme indifference to human life by Officer Bisard.

The suit claims Wells' wife, Luisa, and the rest of his friends and family are subject to a lifetime of permanent grief because of this accident.

700k for the death of an innocent motorcyclist  that was killed by an officer of the court, while drunk and on duty.

There is ZERO justice in that. None what so ever. . .

Do employers really even read the resume you take so much time and care to put together for them? After this morning's debacle I am inclined to say absolutely NOT!!!!!!!

Who in their right mind would even think that someone with my education, credentials, and experience would even consider a position answering phone calls and enduring 90 days of classroom training to do so, and all for a compensation package that is less than what those working for a fast food chain are getting? GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Now, I know what you are thinking; "Why did you even go?"

Well, the "recruiter" for this company led me to believe I was being considered for a management position, but upon arriving I found out it is what I listed above. . .

I thanked the interviewer for their time and consideration, handed them a hard copy of my resume and the completed paperwork they wanted me to fill out, and then inquired surrounding just what the position was that this interview was for. I was told it is a call center representative and the pay rates were communicated. I again thanked them for their time and consideration and politely declined. (Even though I wanted to pimp slap the bastard).

I would have asked for my resume and application back.
Arguing with Christians is like playing chess with a pigeon.  No matter how good I am at chess, the pigeon is just going to knock over the pieces, shit on the board and strut around like it's victorious.

The truth is slow, but relentless. Over time it becomes irresistible.

Yeah, the thought crossed my mind, but I didn't trust myself to remain professional long enough to do so. I just left. . . And I figure if there was indeed a mangerial spot I was in consideration for, and some lower level HR flunky dropped the ball, the info would provide proof I reported on time and as requested . . . Only to be shit upon. . .

You did the right thing.

You never know what will happen or when.

Likewise you never know what spur-of-the-moment act will come back to haunt you.

You maintained composure and self respect.

Kudos.
