The DOW closed above 13,000 yesterday for the first time since May, 2008 and the S&P 500 closed at its highest level since June, 2008.  This morning, the NASDAQ rose above 3,000 for the first time since December of 2000.  Pretend otherwise all you'd like but the economy is improving substantially.

Ummmmmmmmmm...........................................

He said "RETURNING" to a strong economy,

NOT "We have RETURNED to a strong economy."

Reading what you want to read, so you have a spin to put on the presidential race?

The economy is what republicans have been betting the farm on as an issue -- seeing as how the candidates got nothin' else.

so ignore the fact we have over 8% unemployed ...and 19% REAL unemployed....and rising gas prices and inflation...

If the stock market is okay....the eoconomy is GREAT!...right?

drill baby drill.....and we are back to $1.50 a gallon next week.

Not so fast there, bucko.  Using your own source, it would appear that drill, baby, drill will produce virtually no change in pump prices prior to 2020 and a modest $.03 (that's 3 cents for the mathematically challenged) differentiation in price per gallon at the pump by 2030.

Don't be sad.  It will mean lots more of our natural resources for the oil companies to sell to the rest of the world!

We've been over this before.

Took 8 years to tank the economy.

And you want it fixed in no time.

Everybody with any brains knew it would take many years to rebuild it.

Looks like it's on schedule.

Of course, if you're looking for someone to blame, then yesterday wasn't too soon.

And since the election is coming up, then blame away.

Ain't workin'.

"There is obviously a huge fiscal drag pending if Congress adheres to existing law," according to Bernanke....if not for the repubs, the dems WOULD have allowed the Bush tax cuts expire.....

We are NOT on solid ground, the ecomomy is NOT strong....we are on the cusps of returning to another recession...THAT is my point.

The high cost of gas alone, could spur inflation which will most likely stall economic growth....

ex, from the bottom of my heart,  I would rather have a strong economy and four more years of Obama, than another recession or a depression....

My job and family means MORE than politics..........don't get me wrong, I want a new leader....but, I am not stubborn or insane enough to wish the ecomomy would tank so he gets jousted.

I truly think, his policies is holding down some true, solid economic growth....I think his spending is outrageous, more so than any previous admin....his healthcare is going to be harmful, his "green" policies are going to have negative impacts on our economy.  I think his demeanor is dividing this nation further and further.

but, I will put up with another four years....if this economy gets stronger.
