It is nice.  I've been there several times and contributed to the tribal wealth.  ;D

Statement as of 2:14 PM EST on January 02, 2008

... Wind Chill Advisory remains in effect from 9 PM this evening
to 9 am EST Thursday...

Minimum temperatures on Thursday morning are expected to range
from 35 to 40 degrees across the advisory area... with northwest
winds in the 15 to 20 mph range continuing through the night. This
combination of temperature and wind will create dangerous wind
chill readings between 26 and 35 degrees for much of the night.
Thus... a Wind Chill Advisory has been issued for the area.

A Wind Chill Advisory means that very cold air and strong winds
will combine to generate low wind chills. Prolonged exposure can
result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken. If venturing
outdoors... make sure you wear a hat and gloves.

Well, right now it's 7:36 pm. The temperature is 6*, the wind is blowin' at  6mph, and the wcf is -4. This morning the wind chill factor was -40, in some parts of Central IL.  :spooked: The roads are still in horrible shape. We've had major blowing, and drifting snow. I finally made it back to work today. I got off an hour early because, we were dead at the restaurant. Some people DO have the brains to stay in, when it's this cold.  The ride in was pretty rough this morning. It always gives me an uneasy feeling, when I see a bunch of vehicles in the ditches, for the first few miles of the trip.  :spooked: I want to hibernate until May. I've threatened to before LOL!!!

Thursday will be the tale of two weather systems, as high pressure produce frigid weather across the East and a strong Pacific storm slams the West Coast. Otherwise, quiet weather will dominate the nation Thursday.
Take time to smell the roses.
