Yep, I will be.  Going Christmas shopping in the Quad Cities.  Hubby has over a million driving miles experience, and we haven't got any choice, seeings how we haven't done any of our shopping yet.  Our truck is a Toyota Off Road, and it sits way up in the air. Infact, it feels like you're riding in a semi LOL!!! Thank God for 4 wheel drive.

Well, it's 10:11 am here and it's 27* we have lite snow falling,and by the looks of things we had lite snow overnight. We are in the 2-4 inches range according to the Winter Weather Advisory. The wind is supposed to pick up this evening, maybe gusting to over 20 mph.  GOOD TIMES!!!  Man, after all of this we, BETTER have a white Christmas, or I'm gonna be PO'd. I'm thinking of purchasing a sled to pull Pugsly around on, just for the hell of it. I need to get him some boots, if it's gonna be like this all Winter.

He he, right now all we've got is very lite snow falling. Your powers are weakening PH.  Pretty soon it will probably cut loose LMAO!!!!

Well, we survived the shopping trip (barely) The roads are horrible. We live 45 minutes from where we go shopping, and it took us 2 hours to get there.  Once we got there the traffic was sooo bad, we couldn't even get in to the store parking lots. We blew everything off, because by that point we were out of the mood to shop.  So, we went to Farm and Fleet, and swung through the drive thru at Steak n Shake, and drove the 2 hour trip back home.  The part of Iowa we were in, had about 5 inches on the ground when we left. We may have 4 inches here. They're saying now we have another storm front coming in Thursday, and we may get hit again.  Did I ever tell you guys I HATE WINTER!!!!!

The power got knocked out here again tonight. It wasn't for that long, I managed a short cat nap while it was out before it came back on. It's just been snowing and snowing lately on top of all of this thick layer of ice.

It was horrible in Bettendorf. It was like a blizzard. The snowflakes were the size of half dollars. It sure was pretty, but the roads were bad, and it was nerve wracking as hell LOL!!!! People were driving 10 - 15 mph in town.  In town, the roads weren't that bad, it was the outskirts, and country roads that were terrible.  The traffic was sooo heavy in town, that they had cops out everywhere directing traffic. GOOD TIMES!!!!

Well, its 9:41 pm the temperature is a balmy 28*and we still have lite snow falling. The Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until midnight. I'd say we've got at least 5 inches, or maybe more. I HATE WINTER!!!!  Maybe we'll have a white Christmas this year!!

Still between freezing rain and snow here and temp is 28 wind chill 24.  We're still under a warning until 1:00pm tomorrow.

Wow  we didn't get any ice this time, just a lot of powdery snow. It's the real lite weight kind that blows around really easy. They said the winds are gonna pick up,and cause blowing and drifting snow.  That's all we need. I've decided I'm going into hibernation. I don't want anybody to wake me until May.
