Nothing like a little retail therapy....sign me up!!

Sunny

Sure thing! What's your favorite store?

SoccerMom

I love TJ Maxx, Marshall's....any of those stores that sell higher end stuff for cheap prices. How bout you?

Sunny

Ditto! In the North I loved Gabriel's & Value City...down here we have Ross & Beall's Outlet -- similar to TJ Max & Marshall's.

Gryphon

Gabriels is the bomb! If you have time to dig through the stuff, you can find some awesome deals.

SoccerMom

Oh heck yeah! I buy all of my son's play clothes there, and lots of my clothes for work. Funny story...I bought my husband some Nike t-shirts there this summer, but neglected to tell him that's where I bought them (he's not a huge fan of the store). Anywho, we went to a barbeque at a friends', and they had some sort of flourescent lighting outside. I look over at my husband's grey t-shirt, and it has HUGE white spots all over it that were unnoticable with regular lighting. Needless to say, I'm under strict orders never to buy him anything from Gabes again as long as I live!!

Gryphon

I bought a comforter there for 30 or 40 dollars once. I wasnt sure of the brand because they had cut the tag out. A few months later, I saw the exact same thing for $400 at Macys!

SoccerMom

Yes, their housewares department is a great place to find bargains. I bought a huge braided rug for my dining room for like $25...I've had it for about 5 years and it still looks great. What I hate is when I go in there all amped up to find some great deals, and find nothing that isn't stained, ripped, missing buttons, or irregular in some way.

Sunny

But aren't those times cancelled out when you go on shipment day & they have a TON of season closeouts?

I can't wait to get back to NW PA...Gabes is great retail therapy! But, Gryphon is right -- you have to have the time (and patience) to dig thru and find that 'diamond in the rough'.

Cache, I can too! Its one of my favorite things to show off.

I better your husband is proud of that attribute, too.

One day my oldest son was sitting at dinner and he turned to both of us and stuck out his tongue and completely rolled it over. I though my husband was going to fall out of his chair. All he said was "When you're 18, we are going to have a looooooooong talk..."

I have serious envy of your son's ability. Wish I could do that.

Daisy, your significant other better treasure you!!!!
