Did those people also have a right to gather and stand outside the restaurant across the street and continue to harass them? I suppose you all agree with Maxine Waters about gathering around any Trump supporters and calling them out too? Can't you see that would incite a possible riot if the Trump supporters tried to fight back? This is beyond ridiculous. You cannot bully people into submission and this type of behavior will ultimately result in losing more people for the party than gaining. Are you all so perfect that you can judge Trump and all of his supporters in such a manner? Why was Kennedy and Clinton not judged for their bad behavior? The left are the ones wanting to erase history and silence any opposing opinions so how can they call the right Nazi's when they are doing what the Nazi's did not the right?

No, I'm not bitchin and wanting to sue anybody.......I'm good with that bitch from the Hen House deciding not to want Sarah's business........I say let the free market dictate and I hope that bitches business sinks like a f'g rock in a lake. Sarah took the high road and left.  She didn't cry and whine....she left and told the press what happened.

She didn't/isn't suing anyone to get her way. She packed up and went someplace else to spend her money.  You didn't warn me about nothing.  I ain't bitch'n other than I say that place sucks and that owner sucks.  That's all the gay couple had to do, but they went to the SCOTUS and lost.

Trump isn't a dictator.  Enough of the propaganda Bullshit...you don't like him vote him out the way our democracy is supposed to work.  It seems like YOU guys are the ones who are being fascist dictators and want to by-pass our duly election process and kick him out.  Liberals are so full of hate it is quite embarrassing to our Nation.

Btw, the baker in Colorado WAS willing to make the cake, he just didn't want to design it in a fashion that went against his moral standards.

You stupid moronic asshole.  It is all right for Russian to fix the election for Trump.  It is all right for your Republican president to rip a child off its mother's tit.  It is all right  for your Republican president to rip a child out of its mother's arms and hands and put both of them in separate prison wire cages.

It is all right for Trump to watch Russian whores to jump up and down and pee on a bed in Moscow.  It is all right for Trump a married man to have sexual intercourse and have his penis sucked my a Porn Star and all of this is OK by you Republicans.  What right has Trump to grab a woman by her puzzy, you Republicans all have Narcissist personalities.

As far as I am concerned, you asshole Republicans can kiss my ass.  :kissit:

And I suppose you think this type of behavior from the left is acceptable too.

Oh come on!  It's not acceptable by anyone, regardless of which side it's coming from.

But you have to admit that this kind of shit got ratcheted up several notches by Trump when he first became a candidate, then the nominee, and it sure hasn't stopped since he's become president.

Went to the Supreme Court and prevailed.

So the same people who claim someone should have the right to not bake a wedding cake for a couple because they're gay is now full of self-righteous indignation over a restaurant owner who refused to serve someone because she's a lying bitch?

It really doesn't get any more hypocritical than that.

^^

That's the crux of the matter right there.

THE BAKER:  Perfectly within their rights to do what they did by refusing service to some folks whose lifestyle they didn't support.

THE GAY COUPLE:  Assholes because they publicized it and took them to court.

In the case of the Red Hen:

THE OWNER:  A bitch because she refused to serves someone who lies daily, and is in the employ of someone whose policies she disagrees with.

SANDERS:  Did the right thing by leaving, and tweeting about it; knowing full well what the results of the tweet would be on the business.

Now for those who want my own thoughts on this issue, you won't be surprised that they haven't changed since we had the Indiana pizza shop discussion a few years back.

The bottom line is this.  If you're in business, and someone seeks your services, then serve them.  In the case of the baker and the gay couple, the gay couple should have been made a decorated cake without the baker letting his personal feelings into it.  Same with the Red Hen owner.  Sarah Sanders and her party should have been served regardless of the owner's political views.

As I said on the pizza thread, it really is just that simple.  Last I checked, monies of liberals and conservatives, Christians, Muslims, and atheists, immigrants and natives, all are legal tender and valuable.

Serve them.

What happened to that "business owners should decide who they can can't serve" horse manure you were spreading when a man of color sat in the Oval office?

The fact is the owner(s) of those baking establishments chose to discriminate against a federally protected class. . . And yes, those discriminated against lost.  You're choosing to wish bad upon a business owner that exercised their right (as you phrased it back then) to not serve someone they are morally against, or find unacceptable based upon a seriously held religious belief. (Don't go there. Christianity is not the only religion in this country).

You either are or soon will be a member of a federally protected class yourself, and remember that. One day you will be subjected to the very same kind of discrimination based upon your age, and at that time if you are lucky an organization like the ACLU may choose to take your case before the SCOTUS and lose too. Why? Because the bar is set so high surrounding proof of discriminatory practices or treatment that it is nearly impossible to prove and win. . . But that's a lesson you will never understand until it happens to you. . .

I will; of that you can be assured. I didn't vote for him then, would not vote for him now, and would not vote for him if my very life depended on it.

We are not elected officials put into office via a federal election process. It isn't our responsibility nor is it incumbent upon us to behave and conduct ourselves in a gentlemanly manner and with civility. (Although most of us choose to do so for a variety of reasons). More importantly, we do not work for, nor represent this nation or its citizens unless called upon to do so, or choose to do so in an official manner. The people of this nation do not have a right to order us around as long as our lives, chosen standards, and personal morality do not physically go against the laws of this nation. Those same laws say each of the men and women elected into office DO work for the people they represent by proxy. The serve at our discretion and it is incumbent upon each and every one of them to do so with that at the very forefront of every action they undertake.

The saddest part is few of them do, and Trump serves no one but himself. His words, his actions, his every breath demonstrates this every single day. Always has and always will; whether he is in office or not.

I bolded and italicized the term "moral standards" because you used it yourself yet again. It is the foundation of my perspective in the situation being discussed herein and a very good example of the fact you do not understand the terms meaning. Moreover, it is a shining example of the hypocrisy of this government and those supporting it; including the personal views of those attempting to interject religiosity into our governance.

That's the very thing that sparked the birth of this nation; religious zealotry and persecution. And why the founding fathers required the separation of church and state. We may not have royalty, Kings, or Queens, however the identical powers resting in such positions rests within the organization of government in this nation. And the same dangers emanating from a "favored" (required) religious based governance hundreds of years ago, would be resurrected no matter whom or what rests in the seat of power.

They saw this in 1774-1776. The real question is why don't you?

Religion is a personal choice, and in my opinion should remain so. It has zero value surrounding the governance of a nation or its citizens, for it has demonstrated throughout recorded history to be corrupting and a key component toward the collapse of governance. It has always been at the root for the monstrous individuals that have inflicted atrocities, genocide, and murder upon the peoples of this planet since time began. And it will always be so.

To quote a book I know you are familiar with, as well as a man:

Matthew 22:21 Jesus said "Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's; and to God the things that are God's." Romans 13:1 "Let every person be in subjection to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God and those which exist are established by God."

(Insert modern day humankind's bastardizations surrounding the interpretation of the above quotes here, for they are just that; bastardizations. And 180 degrees from the intent and purpose of the quotations).

"Render unto government the things that are the governments ; and to God the things that are Gods." Pretty strong validation of the constitutional requirement surrounding separation of church and state in my view. And it comes from your religions book!

"Let every person be in subjection to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God and those which exist are established by God."  Again, subject yourself to the laws of the lands in which you exist, for they exist at the pleasure of God; or with the support of God if you will. If it were not so then would not God smite them from the face of the planet?

Perhaps he is doing just that to this very nation by allowing so many to be blinded by Trumps deceit and lies, and enabling him to bully the world? . . .

Half this country disagrees with you.......and come November, I think MORE will disagree with you.......just a hunch though.

You keep saying half and you know that number is bullshit.  Trump's approval rating has never been anywhere remotely close to 50%.

You know what half of Americans do believe though?  "Half of Americans think the United States is in "real danger of becoming a nondemocratic, authoritarian country." A majority, 55 percent, see democracy as "weak" — and 68 percent believe it is "getting weaker." Eight in 10 Americans say they are either "very" or "somewhat" concerned about the condition of democracy here.

These are among the sobering results of a major bipartisan poll published Tuesday that was commissioned by the George W. Bush Institute, the University of Pennsylvania's Biden Center and Freedom House, which tracks the vitality of democracies around the world. The three groups have partnered to create the Democracy Project, with the goal of monitoring the health of the American system.

That should scare the shit out of everyone.
