Yeah, that's right, less money in your paycheck is always a bad thing.....   We should let our government have more of it, they know better than we do on spending...

I guess it doesn't matter that more of the money "you're keeping" is going right back out in the form of higher prices; in this case caused directly by Trump and his actions.

Prices are going to rise at Walmart

You're really not very good at math, are you?

What I find ridiculous is that Republicans are always screaming fiscal responsibility unless it comes to massively inflating budget deficits with unsustainable tax cuts.

Just to point out a few things that you probably didn't hear on MSNBC....but:

America is now the worlds largest oil producer

  • For the first time since 1973, the United States is the world's largest producer of crude oil, according to preliminary estimates published on Wednesday by the Energy Department.
GREAT Manufacturers growing at fastest pace in 14 years

  • Growth in the U.S. economy exploded in the spring and the third quarter that got underway in July is also shaping up to be a good one. The economy is firing on almost all cylinders, though the persistent threat of a broader trade war continues to threaten recent gains.
Consumer Confidence Highest in 18 years

  • The survey measures American's sentiment on current economic conditions and prospects for the next six months, including business and labor market conditions.

Worker pay rate hits highest level since 2008

Black Support for Trump DOUBLES to 29 percent
"This is probably the most pro-active administration regarding urban America and the faith-based community in my lifetime," said Pastor Darrell Scott, an early supporter of Trump's.
"This president actually wants to prove something to our community, our faith-based community and our ethnic community. The last president didn't feel like he had to. He got a pass," added Scott. "This is probably going to be... the most pro-black president I've seen in my lifetime."

Trump Decreases Debt to GDP Ratio - First Time in Over 50 Years!

  • No President in more than 50 years has decreased the Debt to GDP ratio in his first year in office by more than 1%. The last President to do so was Nixon in 1969. Presidents Reagan and George W. Bush decreased the Debt to GDP ratio in their first years in office but by less than 1%.

I'm confused.  Why did the CBO say this about the debt to GDP ratio?  "At 78 percent of gross domestic product (GDP), federal debt held by the public is now at its highest level since shortly after World War II."  This is from their website.  So if it is at it's highest level since WWII, how can the above you stated be true?   I tried to find where they got their info, but I couldn't.

Anyone out there that can help me with this?  I'm being serious.  I'm confused.  Economics on a large scale has never been my strong suit.  (I'm fine with my personal finances, but when the government is involved and all those billions and trillions, I get a little lost.)

Hi Abbey, I think the bottom line is, depending on which side of the political fence you are on, there are numbers out there that support this....even Snopes.

I just like to point out things that go unnoticed by my liberal buddies.......It isn't my strong suit either and I'm quite certain others can find someone to rip it to shreds....but he DID decrease the budget during that time frame..........unfortunately, our congress (despite GOP or Democratic).....LOVE TO SPEND....then point fingers....and that will never stop, despite any POTUS (In my opinions)

Yes; the Gateway Pundit is a bullshit source for information known for falsehoods and conspiracy theories (and their numbers are not factual).

Considering I couldn't find anything backing up what they said (particularly from their own hyperlinks), I was leaning toward them not being right.  Especially after all the other things I read. Thanks, Ex.

Henry, that link doesn't have anything to do with decreasing the debt to GDP ratio. The numbers I have looked up and posted don't support what was written in the article you posted at all. It doesn't matter which side of the political fence you are on, The Gateway Pundit is definitely not telling the truth about the debt to GDP ratio. Always check other sources, especially if the source you are looking at is far right or left.

Yes, Trump did decrease the debt in the first six months of 2017. But after that, it has increased and continues to increase. It's now at over $21 trillion.  (In 2017 it started at $19.9 trillion.)

BTW, my name doesn't have an 'e' in it. An abbey is what the monks and nuns live in!

Trump told the UN General Assembly this morning that he had accomplished more than almost any administration in American history.  They laughed at him.
