Thanks, gentlemen, for the good laugh.  I needed that after the day I had at the library.

Perhaps another entry on the Tales from the Library thread?  :sneaky:

I am wondering why we aren't hearing any screams from the Trumpanzees surrounding this blitz of executive orders the Raging Cheeto is signing. . .

Oh that's right! I forgot they are hypocrites!  :roll eyes:

Taking women's rights and trampling them with due process. Name some

This country is quickly approaching the socialistic and communistic governance the conservatives were crying wolf over for the last 8 years. Only this time it is real and being implemented without due process.

How about overturning Roe v. Wade?  And if it isn't overturned, how about making it very difficult to get an abortion by passing the fetal heartbeat bill?  Have you heard of that one?

Defunding of Planned Parenthood.  Abortion is a very small part of PP, and no federal dollars go to it.  Defund PP and millions of women no longer have easy access to healthcare.  My niece was helped by PP when she was a college student and had no insurance.  She received a free mammogram, pap smear, and other crucial services.

Women still don't receive equal pay for equal work.

What about the rape culture that exists?

BTW, do you realize it hasn't even been 100 years since we won the right to vote?  It was August 18, 1920 that we earned this through a lot of protesting and marching.  We've come a long way, baby, but we still have a ways to go.

Now wait a minute, a college student should be working and paying her own way like my grandaughter who is getting her nursing degree or if not that should be on her parents insurance since they are now insured up to the age of 26. That argument is not valid under the circumstances.

Women still don't receive equal pay for equal work. And this recent shameful display had what to do with that?

What about the rape culture that exists? If a citizen does it the law takes care of it but if an illegal does it they're turned loose to do it again. If a radical Muslim does it they think they have a right because it's an accepted part of their culture.

And just think women did that without running around with pp hats on and vaginas hanging around their necks, with their head in the ahole none the less, tearing up stuff, attacking people, and being foul mouthed.

Some college students can't work while they are in college and if she is over 26, then she couldn't be on insurance. Try taking 16-18 hours a semester and working while in college. It isn't easy. And maybe Abby's niece was in college before the being on parent's insurance until 26 was around.

Abortion only in the case of the mother's life endangered?  What about a 12 year old who was raped?  You really want a little girl to go through all of that trauma of carrying and then delivering a baby her body isn't ready for?  That she isn't ready for? What if she was raped by a family member?

Hooray for your niece.  My niece was working, and going to college full time, paying for it herself.  The age 26 rule was not in effect at that time.  She was living pay check to pay check and PP was her only way of getting healthcare.  How about a college student who can't even afford the co-pay? What if she doesn't have parents to rely on for healthcare?  Not every parent can do that. She may only has a mother or a father who can't afford to have her on their plan   I can't have my daughter on my work plan because it would cost me over $300 per month.  I don't have an extra $300 a month.  Fortunately she can be on her father's plan.

What shameful display?  A few bad apples don't represent the whole group.  Look at all the other women.  Oh, there were no arrests, either.  Pretty good for a group that huge.

If a citizen does it the law takes care of it?  Really?  Do you realize how many men have either gotten off completely or had a slap on the wrist?  Do you realize how many women are afraid to make a rape charge because they won't be believed?  Because the know they will be told it is their fault they were raped?  "What were you wearing?"  Seriously, I actually heard a guy in church say the women needed to wear longer skirts because he saw their knees and it tempted him!  So I have to completely cover up because some asshole can't control himself?  I want to be able to walk down the street and not worry or be scared.  I don't want to listen to someone make cat calls at me and then be afraid when they start to follow me in their car.  (This has recently happened to me when I was walking home from work.)

And just think women did that without running around with pp hats on and vaginas hanging around their necks, with their head in the ahole none the less, tearing up stuff, attacking people, and being foul mouthed.   Again, don't judge the group by the actions of the few.

Hate to tell you buttercup but when I was in college, I was taking 18-21 hours a semester and no insurance and since I was taking that many it was a little difficult to get a job as that many hours correlate into a full time job. Nowadays, kids can be on the parents insurance plan but at the time I was in college you couldn't after - certain age.

I can tell you stories of abused women who were raped because they were asking for it is what the rapist said. They were afraid to go to the law as many of them had not been treated fairly by police officers and the court system.

I'm talking about the illegals who are raping and killing and the sancutary cities that are protecting them.
