I have a really fun daughter.  In order to get my birthday gift, she gave me a clue to figure out and sent me around our apartment with a bunch of other clues until the last one that led to my gift.  I did the same thing to her years ago for her Easter basket.  Guess it made a good impression on her!

A Disney pin.  It's a stormtrooper eating a Mickey Mouse ear shaped ice cream and says, "Get a taste of the dark side".  It's not much, but I don't need a lot to make me happy. 

It's the small things in life that I treasure.  Now I'm not saying I wouldn't be happy with a trip to Hawaii or something like that, but I think it's important to relish and enjoy the small things that a loved one (and life) brings to you.  Little gifts like a favorite piece of candy sitting on your desk, bringing home your favorite ice cream, or 'I love you", 'thinking of you', 'missing you', or emoji texts.  Little things that make you know you are loved and desired by the other person.  I really believe that small, simple things like that help keep a relationship going.
