Had leftover homemade vegetable soup that was made in a crock pot. Someone donated a slightly used hambone. And of course the ever popular dump cake for dessert. :yes: And yes sally that cake is goooood. And easy to throw together.

I like the sound of the vegetable soup. I think I'll make some soon myself, but not today, it's 90 degrees here.

Last thing I ate:

2 Thin mint cookies, a granola bar and a diet mountain dew (that's total for today and I'm starving!)

It was in the 80's here today. Last night I had a bacon cheeseburger and fries from Sonic and some homemade sweet tea(with ice).

Veggie patty sub from Subway! Yumm

I made potatoes au gratin from "scratch" last night. Yummy too!

Sunny, the dump cake is a bunch of ingredients. Basically it is a can of pie filling of your choice, 1/2 to 1 stick of butter, 1 can of fruit, 1 cake mix. Put the pie filling, fruit and butter in whatever container you are going to bake it in and then top all that off with the cake mix. Bake at 325 for about 45 minutes. The one I had included cherry pie filling and crushed pineapple. It is a very flexible recipe, therefore the dump name I guess. Just dump it into your :yes: dish and bake. It is tasty. I just had a serving. Had a 6-inch sub from Subway on white(untoasted). It was the Italian BMT. On it I had mayo, mustard, onions, tomatoes, salt and pepper, oil and vinegar. Had sweet iced tea to drink. :yes:

Yeh, I understand that it's a very well know recipe. Of course, everyone has their own variation on how they like to put it together.

Having my first cup of Maxwell House as we speak. 3 sugars. And milk. My wife makes it a little too strong for me sometimes. Have to have that extra sugar. :yes:
