In the very first band I was in, "Kicks" was one of the songs we played.

Jan Hooks of SNL fame :reap: HARVESTED :reap: at 57.

I haven't been able to find a cause of death, but recent pictures of her don't paint her in a very good light.  She looked more like a woman of 75 or 80 instead of someone only 57.

I would have thought by now, someone here would have posted this. Guess not, so. . .

Jack Bruce  :reap: :reap: HARVESTED  :reap: :reap: @ 71.

I find it really frustrating to see "tweets and public posts" about his passing, emanating from those with whom he had a tumultuous relationship with in life itself. Take for example Ginger Baker.

He (or his mouthpiece) posted commentary extending condolences to the friends and family of the late Mr. Bruce, and calling him a "great musician" and saying it is a terrible loss. Seriously Ginger?

In life, (and Cream) , Baker and Bruce were legendary opponents with numerous incidents of their conflict coming to blows. Clapton even related the fact that the situation between the two of them made the band unsustainable and his forced position within the band as one of the peace-maker. (Beware Mr. Baker).

In Beware Mr. Baker, Ginger took his cane to the face of the man doing the documentary, when he was told that Jack Bruce was going to be interviewed for the documentary about him, saying, "I don't want that fucker in my film!"; bloodying the face of the film-maker.

Seriously. When someone crosses over is NOT the time to speak falsehoods about them or your relationship with them in life. Man up and speak the truth, and if your relationship with the deceased is one of hate and conflict, then shut the fuck up and let others bring comfort to the bereaved family that actually means something to them.

I hope Jack Bruce haunts Ginger Baker for each and every second Baker remains above ground.  :ghost:

He may be one fine percussionist but his personality makes him an asshat!

I expect to be posting of Gordie Howe's harvesting soon. The 86 year old Hockey Legend suffered a pretty good stroke this last Sunday. He has lost a significant level of functionality in his right side and has severely slurred speech. . .  :'(

I was never really in to Hockey, but as a kid, growing up, Gordie Howe, Bobby Orr and Bobby Hull were two guys that always stood out.
