". . .cause its time, in time with your time, and it's news, is captured; for the queen to use. . ."

Dude! We could devote an entire thread to the study of Jon Anderson's lyrics and their meanings. I usually don't even pay attention to lyrics in a song. Being an instrumentalist, I mostly consider the voice to be just another instrument in the band. Yes changed all that for me.

This is one of my favorites -

"A man conceived a moment's answers to the dream
Staying the flowers daily, sensing all the themes
As a foundation left to create the spiral aim,
A movement regained and regarded both the same,
All complete in the sight of seeds of life with you

Changed only for a sight, the sound, the space agreed
Between the picture of time behind the face of need,
Coming quickly to terms of all expression laid,
Emotion revealed as the ocean maid,
All complete in the sight of seeds of life with you"

To me, this is the ultimate love song, but as usual with Yes, also much more.

Indeed. I too get caught up in the instrumentation aspects of most tunes, and often forget to listen to the lyrics in order to obtain understanding of them. . . But Anderson and company have a way of eventually forcing me around to them too. And I agree with you surrounding the beauty to be found within many (most) of the words in their tunes.

Maybe one of us should start a "Yes" topic in our area(s). That woudl keep you and I busy for quite awhile eh?

BTW, "Yessongs" arrived this morning. . .  8)  (And fyi  for those of you thinking I must have hit the lottery or something- I used an Amazon gift card I received at Xmas to pay for all of these things! - So basically I pretty much updated my Yes collection AND it didn't cost me personally a penny!)  :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

To show you how jaded I've become, I find myself expecting some news that Sgt Giunta has something negative on his record or there are concerns about his having received the Medal of Honor.

Don't get me wrong, I sincerely hope not and with each passing day, I become more convinced that he's everything and has done everything he says he has, but I guess I have post-Lynch syndrome. IMO she deserved a medal and she didn't deserve to be dragged through the mud.

To be clear, I don't mean that she deserved the Medal of Honor. I meant that she deserved whatever recognition that she recevied w/out the media turning it into a "lynching".

Several semis reportedly off the road on I-69 near Anderson. Traffic allowed to exit and re-enter at Exit 26, but highway could be closed 6 hours.

This is the second severe traffic accident on this stretch of I 69 today!!!!!!!  :spooked: :spooked:

A major accident on I-69 near the Scatterfield Road exit has shut down the highway and destroyed three tractor trailer semis, according to police scanner traffic.

The wreck happened near Exit 26 and has all the northbound lanes blocked.

A driver is trapped in one of the cabs as emergency crews prepare to shut down the interstate and begin an operation that could last through the night.

So remember folks, you seen them at the UNKNOWN ZONE first!  8)

Thank you. I heard it from WTHR, then turned on the scanner. Once I heard the traffic I decided to run over there and find a remote location to grab a few pics from. . .

Today's word "autoschediastical"

Why would you want to use that big word when you can just say, it's been improvised or extemporized.
