The Troll

Quote from: Palehorse on July 13, 2010, 10:59:50 AMIndeed, of the automakers assembling vehicles in the US, the top two are Toyota and Honda. (Utilizing the most American made sub assemblies and components to assemble the final vehicle). http://www.cars.com/go/advice/Story.jsp?section=top&subject=ami&story=amMade0710

It so wonderful to live in America  the land of the free and the brave and have a damn Jap car as the #1 selling car in America.  And Toyota was building Nakajima fighter planes in World War II.  Mitsubishi was building the Zero fighter plane at that time too.

We may have beat their ass in World War II, which cost one hell of a lot of our money.  We built them up with one hell of a lot of our money.  But they sure kicking our ass now and the damn people of America is letting them do it to us.

As far a creative book keeping, one of the Japanese auto companies, I think it was Honda.  Was telling the government they were paying a certain price for their engines.  But you could go to Japan and buy the engine on the open market for half the price Honda was declaring they paid for the same engine.  Don't know what happened, it just vanished from the news

Keep buying those damn Jap and Koran cars they are good for our economy.

You miss the point entirely. It isn't that the "jap cars" are the best selling cars, it is that the "jap cars" are comprised of the most AMERICAN manufactured parts and sub assemblies, and assembled in the United States! All of which equates to motor vehicles that are comprised of the most US labor and parts!

I didn't miss the point.  It's Japanese owned.  It's Japanese designed.  It's Japanese engineered,  most of the top bosses are Japanese and all of it's profits go to Japan.

And an American company can not own 100% of a company in Japan.  More free trade,  all of the  money going out and everything coming in.  It's already started, we're going to be out of money.  A third world status.

Have you ever seen one of the automated assembly lines.  The cars bodies are not touched by human hands from start to end of the construction of the bodies.  Where all of the Jape robots build the cars.  A handful of employees and thousands of cars and all of the profit goes overseas.  Toyota is planning to go to Mexico right now.  Maybe they don't like our law standards.  Hummmmmm?

PPDC alert! The UFO that appeared over the airport in Hangzhou has been identified!

Here's the problem: nobody is talking.

A source "with knowledge of the matter" reportedly told China Daily  that the source of the UFO had been determined, but that the information could not yet be released.

Why didn't our government ever think of this. Noooo, we get "weather balloons" and "swamp gas" and "Venus seen through the mist."  C'mon, you idiots. Just say "We know but we won't tell you." That's what we assume you are really saying anyhow.

On a side note, there is no branch of the PPDC currently active in China. So it's up to y'all to spread this alert.

I watched "Signs" again last week, before Mel's recorded rants became fodder for the public execution cannons. . .

From overheard in a newsroom 5218 "I earned my salary tonight, I put the "L" in 'public'".

Good friend of mine is a copy editor and she sends these in txt form from time to time and this one cracked me up, so I thought I'd share.

I'm waiting on my gym buddy and the TV happens to be on whatever channel Maurey Povich comes on. Rather than look for the remote, I'm watching this program like a train wreck. Talk about the decline of society. People watch and enjoy this crap? What does the popularity of these type of programs say about the dumbing down of America.

I feel all dirty, stuipd and really lazy (for not changing the channel).

That's why we've been watching the History channel and DVD's lately and very rarely, except for basketball, watched TV at all.

That's why I switch the channel the instant I see any kind of program like that. Its bad karma, and if you watch that crap enough it infects your life!  :spooked:

I will not watch it. I have enough crap in my life without creating more of it!
